Trust me, booing Nash early in the game for past playoff failures is going to have damaging effect on the Rangers, and will not only deflate him but his entire team (listen to AV's post game presser, and Richards' comments if you don't think this pisses off the players).

We want them to play inspired hockey - not be deflated and play tighter than rusted lug nuts. And what UFA is sitting at home thinking, "THAT'S where I want to play! A place where they boo their own players. Sign me up!!" :shakehead

- There are plenty of instances where a dose of good old humiliation and shame have done wonders to turn people around.

I just don't know what to say.

I mean, it's the people who attend the games' decision whether to boo or not. I just think it's funny when people think they're contributing towards the success of the team by doing it.

Hopefully the UFAs that are going to get ridiculously overpaid and eventually flop (i.e, almost all of them).

Legwand is garbage, no thanks.

What? He's been a consistent 40-50 point player in a system that has netted like a 2.25 goals per game during his tenure, while contributing in other areas. It's fine to say "pass" or whatever, but calling him garbage is hyperbolic at best, delusional at... Well, par for the course.

A sincere tuck you to players that suck and then complain about the crowd.

I don't boo, but I won't tell anyone not to. Their choice.

If you think a free agent won't come here because of booing, you are forgetting that in the end, money talks.

It's amazing how the mood of this board is so polar after games... Either were the greatest collection of people to ever play hockey or the last place team at the special Olympics

This post is hillarious because it implies Nash is sooooo invisible he's not even mentioned!

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Well I was alluding to the homegrown guys...but in reality yeah, Nash hasn't shown up in the playoffs even once in his career yet so it's not like he can "decline" in the post season.

Could (hopefully) be the last home game for several players. They deserve boos.

The enigma of our beloved Rangers.

Obviously they have the will to dominate inside them. They also have to frustrating capacity to muster 15 shots on goal in a playoff game.

Ive been a fan for so long, I can only say I will likely never fully understand how a team can look so bad in one game and so good in the very next game in a series

Penguin fans are saying the same thing.

Let's not go crazy here...

Nash needs to be in the lineup. He missed an empty net in the last game so he is getting very close to scoring. Kreider does open up a lot of room for Nash and Stepan. So although I dislike Nash, I think this may actually be the game he scores one.

I'm not sure I'm following the logic there. If you're struggling to score and then even miss an open net, it's not necessarily a sign that you're nearing a goal. That said, I'm not sure I'd pick this game to bench him to "send a message". I'm sure Nash is already well aware that people expect goals of him, and I'm also sure that having him on there opens it up a bit for the other lines.
