Game 45: Kings vs. Stars - 4/21/13 - Dominant OT WIN!

As I said in the game thread, elite teams don't let officiating beat them - in fact, wasn't that our rallying call in the Vancouver series? In the Blues series after the check from behind? Well, then it was a taunt, because the Kings were on the plus side of those situations, but the principle still applies here, even when the roles are reversed. Take the win, take the positives of the general dominance of play, put the game behind you and move on to the only teams that matter -- the ones remaining on the schedule.
 
You guys deserved it the way the Kings outplayed the Stars in OT.

The way things were going I was expecting them to waive off the OT goal. Crazy frickin game...
 
Magic number to clinch thr 4th seed: 4 points

2 Kings wins seal it.
Or 2 Sharks regulation losses

Or a Kings win and a Sharks regulation loss on Tuesday since we have a ton of advantage in the ROW department.
 
Gotta love the Richie and Carts combo. Now we need Kopi to go into playoff mode!
 
LOL at the guy in the Dallas GDT who keeps saying "San Andreas" with the obvious message that he hopes we all go down in a huge quake. So that's cool on HF Boards now, huh?

Really fantastic to see the Kings come back after the refs basically screwed them twice. Love it! I was loving the OT.. good work by Doughty to get in the offensive zone. He makes it look easy.

Hey, how about that guy Quick? I knew he would come around.

I'm not going there because I'm sure I'd get banned... but I would love to know what they are whining about. they seriously have NOTHING to complain about as the refs gifted them two goals tonight (1 for them, 1 taken from L.A.).

I can't speak for the TV crew, but Nick Nickson just said (paraphrasing, but really close): "There was more controversy with the officiating tonight than in all the other games this season put together"

(This comment came during an interview with Dustin Penner, who actually seemed to be defending, or at least demurring, the referring)

In theory, the Kings could lose the next 2 in regulation, have SJ win the next 2 in any fashion, and all the Kings would have to do is win the last game in regulation and they would probably still get 4th unless STL goes 3-0-0 the rest of the way.
