A midget with a one-timer? No.

I agree, who needs a proven goal-scorer, I mean Brown and the Messiah are doing an amazing job in secondary roles.

How many games has it been now, struggling to score, with the lines not changing?

I'm over reacting but this game is speaking volumes about this team right now.

But the lines have changed, and it's still a struggle to score goals.

I see posts where people are talking about the Kings high amount of skill and I just have to laugh. There isn't a lot of skill on this roster, there are two great forwards, a guy doing great in his role in King, Nolan has been great in his role and even Stoll has stepped up. The problem is Brown and Richards are playing at a healthy scratch level right now, no other way to sugar coat it, the numbers don't lie. Williams and Toffoli have struggled, Clifford and Frattin are absolutely worthless waiver wire scrubs and Lewis couldn't shoot the puck into the Pacific.

And while Doughty and Voynov are extremely talented, the combination of a defensive system and a group of forwards that is terrible really limits the amount of offense they can create from the blue line.

I don't think you're overreacting. I expect this kind of play early in the season. Defensively the Kings are awesome (except the PK lately). But offensively they should have their **** together right now.

Niederreiter would look awesome in a Kings jersey. Hard to believe we couldn't have eclipsed the Cal Clutterbuck offer.

I really wanted us to get Nino for Bernier, I was happy with the Frattin trade but I think Nino would be awesome on the Kings.

Didn't our insiders here say we wanted no part of Nino because he wasn't a Lombardi type of guy?

I really hope DL does not wait for home ice to be out of reach before making a shake up.

Sutter just got through saying no one is going to the net to score. It's not like the coaches tell players avoid scoring areas .

The players have to be willing to pay the price to get inside.

You'd think for a big bodied team that would be a pretty easy sacrifice to make, especially against an AHL defense. The Kings need to get more offensively talented so that concept isn't foreign to them.

No doubt. But he also shouldn't have to 'remind' them on a game-to-game basis. They have no problems being heavyweights near the boards and in the open ice, but no one wants to crash for rebounds which is a problem in a system predicated on funneling everything towards the net.

It's shades of 2012 Terry Murray and that's the part that makes me sick. I wish this were an isolated incident but I need two hands to count the number of points we've coughed up in this manner.

On the bright side, yay Bruins will be here Thurs.

So maybe Pearson in next game? He may not score but we need extra skill out there. Clifford and Lewis have nothing to offer.

This is EXACTLY what it seems like.

We play too nice.

We need some fire.

We need some edge.

We need Carcillo back.

This is the kind of thinking that unfortunately seems to be going on in the organization.

How else do you explain a team that struggles to score 2 goals a game yet continues to trot out Kyle Clifford and Trevor Lewis every game. Got to have that grit!

This team doesn't need a scrub who was traded for a 7th round pick, they need to bring in someone who can put the puck in the net.

Well, I'd say one thing that separates these Kings with the Terry Murray era team is that they show more energy and effort. They looked lifeless and showed no emotion when Murray was behind the bench.

This team needs to add a player who has confidence in his shot. Not another grinder who excels along the walls, they have plenty of those already.

Well see if Pearson gets a shot on Richards wing with Toffoli. That will push Lewis and Clifford to proper rolls.

What does Clifford and Lewis have to do with me wanting Carcillo back?

Has Slava scored in the last 3 months? Where has his scoring and shot gone? Richards fed him a wide open shot and he missed high and wide, it wasn't even close.

LW has been a problem for years and still is. The lack of scoring just exacerbates it. Our possession time tonight was staggeringly high. Nothing to show for it though because no one outside of the top 6 can finish worth a damn.

No one IN the top 6 can finish worth a damn either...

I ain't even mad. The Kings will win more than they lose if they keep playing like this. This is their game.

Funny, I said the same thing after the first loss to the Flames when their back goalie looked like an all star. That was in October I think. We're giving away points , by my count it's up to 14, if not more.

Actually you can tell some players want to go to the middle or are trying to set up the slot and the puck goes to a void.

This feels like Terry Murray Era except with points. But identical games.

This team needs to get a good amount of offense. Clifford is useless. I just had to throw him under the bus.
