Last 11 games since the end of that Eastern road trip.

Mike Richards -11GP, 0G, 1A, 1 Pts, -5
Dustin Brown - 9GP, 2G, 2A, 4 Pts, -4
Justin Williams - 11GP, 2G, 2G, 4 Pts, -2
Tyler Toffoli - 11GP, 1G, 1A, 2 Pts +3

There is your LA Kings secondary scoring, that is why we struggle to score 2 goals a night.

Is DL content to hope that these guys get it going, Richards had his first good game since about Thanksgiving, will he build on it or go back to sucking. Toffoli has hit the wall, looks lost out there.

Richards and toffoli have been bad.

Probably see Pearson/richards/toffoli

Frattin sucked again, didn't even know he was on the ice.

This board is funny.

Kings played well and generated a lot of chances. Sucks they weren't finishing, but you can't say they didn't have their chances.

I just suggest you back away from the ledge and give props to Kuemper who stole the game.

I'm calling bs. Kings stayed outside the entire game. 1 goal against this team riddled with injuries speaks volumes. The grinding and shots from 40 feet away praying for a deflection sucks.

Not even the net, just the ****ing parralel to the goal.

True. I just get frustrated when I see Kings constantly taking the puck in behind the net, then come all the way back to the blue line along the boards. Kopitar does it a lot and Brown is notorious for doing that, except he usually turns it over. Just take the puck hard to the net. Why is that so hard?

Very good advice. I'll just go to the same place I went when the Kings lost to all the other back ups and only scored a few goals. This isn't a one off buddy, not by a long shot.:shakehead

I keep seeing passes from behind the net, into the slot, and there is no one there. It's like the plan was for someone to be standing there, but it's empty ice. It's like they are right up on top of the goalie or nothing.

Even on even strength it looks like we're doing the High Umbrella lol.

Niederreiter would look awesome in a Kings jersey. Hard to believe we couldn't have eclipsed the Cal Clutterbuck offer.

It's the ****ing players and the lack of skill. No one ****ing skates in to the slot. It's like they are scared of leaving their position. It's so ****ing stupid, I've never seen a team so dedicated to cycling that they all just stay on the boards hoping for someone to peel off into the slot. Why aren't there 2/3 guys attacking the middle of the ice and opening passing lanes. This type of hockey is gonna get the kings no where, fast.

Yes their not getting dirty goals because they are afraid of taking the puck inside. How many times have we seen Kopitar take off then peel back looking to pass? Take it to the damn net if they knock the puck loose maybe Carter or king can get a garbage goal. One of the only good things Penner did is just take the puck to the net grab a D or 2 and there would be cookie there for the other forwards. You have to cause havoc because taking 40 foot wrist shots with no one in front is just going to get you a lot of sog with no results.

Sutter on lack of scoring : "You have to go to the net to score" "jarret did tonight and was rewarded".

Meh. Not much to say when you dominate in every possible way except goals scored, but I'm getting pretty sick of having "those games". In this case I don't think it's the personnel--I'd like an offensive injection, sure, but look at how much this team has neutered even Toffoli, he's going glass-and-out like Aaron Miller. Just like all the other "those games," Kings are working hard, possessing the puck, etc., they just don't want to get dirty in the paint to create their own luck. We can bemoan the three posts, shot clock, etc., but if you're not there for the rebounds, centering passes, and loose pucks, well, yeah.

The problem is this playoff style works well to equalize opponents at or near above our level, but against beat up depleted rosters and teams far down in the standings, they're content to play a boring road game and just pray for a point. We don't have that killer instinct or offensive gear like the Hawks and Ducks, not at this point in the season anyway, so it's always going to be a close game, and when you play that way against a team that wants it, you're playing with fire.

Wish at some point against one of these teams Sutter would go "**** it do whatever you want offensively." I know this team doesn't want to play coin-flip line rush hockey, but playing the percentages is meh right now. We can't afford to keep giving away points like candy or we're not going to get to really play playoff hockey.

I ain't even mad. The Kings will win more than they lose if they keep playing like this. This is their game.

How many games has it been now, struggling to score, with the lines not changing?

I'm over reacting but this game is speaking volumes about this team right now.

I would like to try King-Kopitar-Toffoli. It's obvious right now that Tyler can't carry the offense on the 3rd/4th lines and he needs a good playmaker to be successful. Him and King also seemed to have good chemistry the short time they played together. You'd also have a good mix with a Power Forward-Playmaker-Sniper, while you have one elite defensive center and two decent defensive wingers.

22nd in goals per game, I hear far to much that *insert crappy goalie* stole the game while the Kings dominated possession. This isn't a single game problem where the Kings went-up against a goalie who stood on his head, this team refuses to crash the net, has their backsides glued to the boards, and run a very boring/predictable PP.

Sutter just got through saying no one is going to the net to score. It's not like the coaches tell players avoid scoring areas .

The players have to be willing to pay the price to get inside.
