I disagree with splitting up marner and gally.
Putting spezza on the second line is arguably the same as Thornton being on the third.

Generally over the years when Leafs lose their top players it seems they always rally pretty good... at minimum I expect a really good effort.

It pretty much goes hand in hand anyway with most teams. Unless the team is absolute shit... guys seem to play much better knowing a top guy is out.

Leafs are 3-0 without Matty I think I saw somewhere this year. Without Nylander they're pretty good too.

With both out its tough but play a good d game and you still have Tavares and Marner. I think Campbell will have a good game too.

Management always tries getting Brooks into games against his hometown team. He always seems to produce in his NHL opportunities (4pts, 8GP).

He'll be interesting to watch. I think he can fill a similar role as Boyd.
