I disagree. Our record is fantastic without him in lineup. Everyone usually steps it up. That's what good teams and leaders do.

No reason to think otherwise, especially with 2 game losing streak active. Tonight will definitely be tough but not impossible.

7 days from the 9th is the 16th, so could probably suit up Sat vs VAN if that game even happens (doubtful?)

Looks like the Leafs are trying to jumpstart their PP by taking Matthews out and putting in Brooks.

Adam Brooks: 73.5 G/60 on the PP this year.
Auston Matthews: 4.2 G/60 on the PP this year.

Seems like an easy choice.

The way they've been playing, I think they can win all 4 of the Vancouver games. The rest I'm not so sure. Especially if they have to play players on the first and second lines that don't belong there, to cover absences. We need the reinforcements to arrive.

Can you imagine just coming off COVID and be expected to play at a professional level. I truly feel bad for Canuck players, I mean it’s fun to rub stuff in to their fans but this is just insane. They should let them fill the squad with their prospects.

If the team wins the game, it's fun to me, imo.

I'm a Leafs fan, not a Matthews fan. All that matters to me is that Leafs find a way to win the game.

He's a terrific talent agreed. I've never seen a Leafs talent score the way he does, but I've been watching this team for 50ish years.

Saw a lot of very good players. Matthews still has ways to go.
