I am not defending Campbell, but all of them the team up front could have done better

I think the D core is tired. I blame management/coach. They need to rotate the D, especially in this compressed season. It's almost inexcusable that Liljegren hasn't gotten a game yet.

The GM has the team so far up to the cap it is not easy to manouver players from taxi squad. Keefe himself said that in one of his interviews. Of course he didn't say GM he said " cap reasons its not easy"

This is my issue with him. I'm down with the 11-0 but being a no.1 takes more than skill. It's such a physical and mental position as well.

Once you get in your own head you're finished. If your body wears down fast , you have no chance being a no.1

Rooting for him to be full time no.1 but hopefully the last 2 seasons gets us a budget deal with Fred.

When was the last time we were satisfied/happy with our PP for a whole year?

I remember people being pissed at them last year, and I think the last 15-20 games in 2018-2019 the power play ended up sucking as well.

2018 with Jvr, Bozak, Kadri and the split units was last time I remember us being happy with the PP for the whole year basically.

We have gotten more talent but get into ruts and struggle to convert over the years.

IMO they did the same thing when Freddy was in net; except they outscored their problems to a certain extent. This kind of defensive system or play will not survive tight checking in the playoffs.

Somehow our point man on the PP can't get a shot on net and the defenders just play off Matthews and Marner isn't a legitimate shooting threat and the guys in front do two things: jack and shit, so if you cover Matthews you're good

The two guys doing jack shit is the actual problem that doesn't get talked about enough. Rielly hasn't been good don't get me wrong but our powerplay is essentially Rielly, Marner and Matthews against the 4 penalty killers and then we are shocked when it doesn't work.
