Post-Game Talk: Game 44: BRUINS 3 Toronto 2 - B's find a way to win

Based on a review of hate related posts the last week I am updating my Hate Ranking

Talbot- could bring peace to all nations and Bruins fans would still hate him
Chara- good week of hate after the Rangers third period
Kevan Miller- folks hate him but they deep down don't want to
Connolly- whole does not equal sum of parts and many hate him becz of that
Kemppainen- hasn't played enough but capable of climbing list

Talbot has been a plus for us this year IMO .

I am down on Chara , Connolly and Kemp .

Miller I don't love but hard to hate a team guy , that fights and does 33 pull ups .

What a great way to finish off a grueling stretch of games with a last minute goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The refs were certainly one-sided tonight.

Babcock has the Leafs playing the Red Wings embellishment style of drawing penalties.

I bet Ladyfan might have some nasty things to say about the reffing tonight.

...but what an exciting finish to this game.

It would've been great to be at the TD Garden tonight.

I always thought it was something between you two that's not hockey related- my dog hates the UPS guy for no reason. I figured it was something like that.

He's a roadblock to the fast, free-wheeling, offensive-minded, mobile defense that I envision in my dreams after i slip into my Bruins PJ's each night.

I want the trio of Krug, CM and Morrow to score more goals than the early 90's Capitals defense of Hatcher, Iafrate & Cote

I have you listed as the number one Marchand hater:laugh:

By saying that Connolly has played well, Claude sounds pretty much like Dave Lewis; seeing things that doesn't really exist... You know what happened to Dave, right Claude?

Connolly has been playing extremely well. Perhaps you and Dave Lewis have more in common than Claude and Lewis...;)

Was worried if we make the playoffs because to win the cup we need our Ryder replacement glad we found him.

Everytime Tuukka attempts to play the puck the tremors of sizemic activity awaken in the B's zone. Not sure i've ever seen a worse puckhandling goalie.

B's need to finish better on their opportunities. No way it should have been this close.

Big 2 pts

time to get another good streak going

A guy called into 98.5 about a year ago and said it best

"If I was Clawwd, id chain Tuukkah to the net and never let him play the puck again"

Without a doubt, Kadri flops and falls down more than anyone in the NHL...embarrassing

He was pathetic tonight

Nice win.

Bergy and Marchy were excellent.

I loved the Hobbit save (does he think he is Michael Ryder?)

and I hear the Habs lost  Love it...Good night

He had to play that or it was a breakaway. He just reacted too slow and mishandled it.

Tuukka is actually pretty good at handling the puck most of the time.

True story

Great job by the Bs to fight through some of the worst reffing I've seen this season in the NHL. Truly disgraceful and one-sided performance by the bush leaguers in the stripes. So many missed calls against the Leafs that I lost count after 8 or 9. There are four or five refs in this league that I would rather not see do any B's games because I know more often than not it's going to be a **** show, and one of them was out there pulling his usual BS tonight. And Kadri can go eat a bag of hell. What a tool he is.

Marchy and Bergy were excellent. Loui and Krug were outstanding as well. K. Miller played one hell of a game. If he can pull off more performances like the one tonight then it would be a nice boost for the Bs.

Had to miss this one. Looks like I missed a good one. Saw some of the highlights though. Nice to see Marchand getting it back. I saw the notice on my phone when his goal was waved off, and I thought to myself: "He'll get it back." He sure did.

What a save by Krug!
Pretty nice lunging save by our other goalie, too!

Big win!

Nice way to start a game, AMAZING PASS KRUGGER, best game for him in a while. Awesome save to bail out that putz.

Connolly, please go away. Oh, and take Kemppainen with you.

Joe Morrow, you were horrible tonight, but if Chara can be forgiven………………………..

WTF is with all the rebounds, Rask? While strong in general, both goals were weak on his part. And WTF was that late in the game. Don’t you know you totally suck at handling the puck.

Way to go Marchand, not only did you get suspended, but you have sucked rocks ever since. But you got the winner so all is forgiven…………. opps, off side, surprise, surprise. He was offside, no goal. Penalty, now that is shocking. There is a god, game winner, you got away with it, but………………….wake the **** up.

Chara get’s caught up ice ……………………again, what a surprise. Oh, and nice give away for the second goal. Oh , and caught out of position, takes a penalty. How can Chara fan boys still defend this guy, he’s HOOORRRIBBBBLLLLEEE. Oh and way to go Claude, reward all that suckage with PP time, amazing, not all the fan boys are on these boards, though sometimes I wonder.

Said before the game not a fan of Habs fan Dave Jackson,Post 18 GDT, he was true to form. Too many men on several occasions , INCLUDING SECOND Toronto goal , no call. But made sure to call every possible call against the Bruins. Ferraro tripped on a breakaway, no call, surprised? I’m not. Hook on Krug’s 3rd period net drive, no call. Marchand tackled in front of the net, no call. ARE WE SEEING THE PATTERN HERE. High stick, Paneuf on Jimmy Hayes, don’t worry, no problem, Dave Jackson’s on the job. Oh, saw that Jimmy, off you go, you’re a Bruin. ****ing ridiculous. How is this clown still an NHL ref?
Justice served, Suck it Jackson, do your worst.

I think Krug was the best player on the ice tonight, that includes 37 (who was great).

Nice to see Marchand engaged, he's been terrible since returning from suspension.

They need a ****ing winger to play with 37 and 63. I'm done with Connolly, have been for a month.

The Leafs play like the Wings. Hook, interfere, hold, grab sticks and never get called for it and as soon as they are touched, they flop. Kadri was a ****ing embarasment.

The officials were a total joke. I wonder if this organization has someone who can bring some film into the NHL head office and talk to someone about the clear double standard that exists. It's not tinfoil hat, it's been this way for decades.

Loving the 4th line.

We need Krech back, badly, help balance things out.

63 - 37 - 88
21 - 46 - 39
11 - 51 - 72
36 - 25 - 29

I'd consider flipping 88 and 39 at times if things don't go well. I don't like the 3rd line wingers. 72 needs to find consistency, use his wheels. I'd love a Chimera type (big banger with wheels who can PK) on that line, I'd like to see Sweeney go and find a guy like that quickly.

I don't touch the 4th line, I have 41 play occasionally to keep Talbot fresh, have 64 play for 36 occasionally. 29 sticks, for good. 14 is a non factor.

I'd like to see their record with Connolly on the Bergeron line. He's invisible, yes. But something there just clicks. It's strange.

OMG that pic... lol!! :handclap:

And that shot from Marchy, wow, sweet justice there.

Boy those refs were something else tonight

Oh, and of course the Krug save!

No it's really not, I can't think of anyone who's worse.

You musnt watch many other NHL goalies then, or focus solely on tuukkas rare mistakes when he plays the puck.

Tuukka is good with his stick and usually keeps it under control. Especially in his Vezina year, many outside commentators made note of how good his passes were. Especially using the boards.
