I never blame the refs, but I've never gone to a worse officiated game in my entire life. No surprise at all he was French

I agree the officiating was unfair. But our guys should have expected to get called on most of those. You hit a guy near his face with your stick, or you put your stick in someone's mid-section, or you make a blatantly obvious late hit.. Those are all dumb penalties.

Is Dubinsky always that dumb? He cost you guys the game or at least 1 point tonight. Our PP is putrid but reven I knew we would score based on the huge momentum wing... talk about terrible timing.

There was his stupid penalty, then Boll's before that and the entire second period before that. All of those things cost us the game.

But that does not excuse refs turning a blind eye to Habs penalties... I swear I think I've seen the worst officiated game, then I see one like this...

I want to believe professional sports are legit... I really do... But it's getting harder and harder when it just seems like they pick and choose what they are going to call based upon team or momentum...

Same thing in football... They could call holding on almost every play if they were REALLY calling the game fairly...

Oh jeeze, I'm convinced there's a conspiracy..... Time to stop drinking lol

I was one of em lol but not again... He's definitely in a slump this season and deserves an A but he isn't a captain. I figured they wanted to groom Horton for that but now I hope they give it to Foligno.

But for the love of Dog, pleeeeeaaaasssssseeee get rid of Boll!!,!,!,!,

The fan vote has gone through a lot of players over the years.. I just hope whoever we give it to (if we do, which might not matter) is a consistent leader year to year. I don't want us pissed off at our captain. Foligno fits the bill, maybe some others.

My take.... when players are getting beat on the ice or the field they cheat..... there's not one winning team in history that has *****ed about the refs or injuries....

Look it up....

Heck, I wouldn't mind if they brought in another team's captain to lead this ragtag bunch. Maybe a new coach too! I nice 2-fer

I think this is usually correct. Bad teams have no choice but to cheat. But tonight I think we took a lot of penalties after the play and in the offensive zone. It was stupidity.

Bottom-line CBJ folks..... JD, Kek and Richards as a unit are not getting it done.....

The CBJ as of today are a disaster...... prove me wrong...

Sounds like a good inspirational quote for a youth hockey team but even if the CBJ would have pulled out a victory tonight I would still ***** about how lopsided these refs were tonight.

Certainly doesn't mean that the Habs wouldn't have won a fairly called game either...

This never makes sense to me. A french guy cant be neautral? So basically, the Habs must usually always be screwed by bias since their games are often officiated by english named refs?

All I know is that was the worst officiated game in years and I have never heard a French ref in recent years, not sure where they dug him up

The no calls on Montreal were embarrassing

I knew I was a sucker for paying $50 for 3 rows off the ice tonight - right to the left of Bob...

Not sure I'll be going to another game this year after this collapse. Inexcusable, refs sucking or not... I've already got my skills competition tickets.. had been thinking about aSG but who knows at this point..

We do speak our minds.... I have no clue what ethno-centrism is but this I can say.... I know when a team is good and when they are not..... The grand master John Davidson is not getting it done, other than using every excuse in the book he can find...

The guy lied when trading away Erixon... he said we had to many defensemen yet turned around and signed Cotton??? When a guy lies I'm done.

He didn't lie. We picked up Cotton when we were so low on defensemen that St. Denis was playing as a sixth. Once we started to get healthy again was when we had too many defensive players. Besides, Cotton has been an upgrade.

Carry Price is good, Montreal is good..... the CBJ collapsed tonight.... Collapsing is on Management as much as the players..... If there was one player I'd blame it's Bob but the entire team blew it too....

Few champions would have blown this game as the CBJ did... they have issues.

Interesting....I remember a period on this board after the Zherdev and Filatov failures there was a lot of sentiment against Russian players.

Yes, and that generalization was narrow minded as well. Bigotry is ugly. Small minds, small world views of people who think that way, imo

It was Cotton's play that forced the Erixon trade.

Ultimately we lost the game because we watched the 2nd period. Our players should have had to pay for tickets for how badly they played that period. Nearly every damn shift was watch the Habs pass it around, chase the puck like idiots, hope Bob continues to make saves, finally retrieve the puck, flip it out of the zone, take a change. Wash, Rinse, Repeat that same process for 20 minutes and you have our 2nd period. Absolutely pathetic. We don't skate, we can't pass, we can't run an outlet, we can't win battles. This is not even remotely close to the same team as last year. If the games were played at 5v5 for all 60 minutes, we would be 30th in the league, and you can take that to the bank.

Yep.... moving that puck out of our zone has improved...

And you must be a NHL player or management spouse to have traveled the world as you say..... Listen up, most of America doesn't travel the world, we just want our local home team to be a Champion..... Kay

Ya know that all sorts of people travel, right Rob? Your responses keep proving my point of narrow mindedness. Kay?

Thats it though. Those 3 are really the only stamps on this roster he has. The majority of the top players on this team are Howson's, the bad ones are JK's. And Boll's contract is quite possibly the worst in the NHL

It's too bad the team is so awful that we don't talk about how good Wiz is getting. I'm serious. His skating is so much better, probably because he finally has gone a long stretch without foot/ankle injuries.

Top 0.1 percent of USA citizens travel the world..... I doubt you're a CBJ fan living in Grove City as many of us here did back in 2000.... What exactly is your Columbus history anyway, I'd like to know.
