This. And this. I respect Richards and what he has done with what he has had to work with but I've grown quite tired of his reluctance to make (possibly) unpopular decisions and hold players accountable for their play or lack of such.

Don't forget his reluctance to reward players who play well...

Is Dubinsky always that dumb? He cost you guys the game or at least 1 point tonight. Our PP is putrid but reven I knew we would score based on the huge momentum wing... talk about terrible timing.

Plays like the Calvert one on the pk is what kills us, this team needs for him to finish that, the successful teams have guys that finish that. We have too many hopefuls that just dont produce at the level we need them to. Jk's band of misfits have sucked and thankfully Dallas got stuck and had to send Cotton down, otherwise the only player worth anything that he's provided would be Hartnel

At first I didn't agree with the Boll hate, but now I'm on board.
Sad to say it, but he's a shell of what he used to be. He doesn't deliver the huge hits, doesn't fight, and doesn't play smart at all.
He has become a liability. It seems whenever he's out there we either give up a scoring chance, a goal, or take a penalty.
Truth is, we're a way better team without Boll.

It doesn't feel good saying this. I love Boller and appreciate everything he's done, but he really looks lost out there, and I think it's time he and the team move on.

This game is not on Bob. Calvert opened the door, and Boll held it open.

It's time for the second half push. This team can get in. AND win a series. I'm not ready to give up yet.:shakehead

Robert, don't take this the wrong way, but one of the things I won't miss when you're generation is gone is casual ethno-centrism like this.

We do speak our minds.... I have no clue what ethno-centrism is but this I can say.... I know when a team is good and when they are not..... The grand master John Davidson is not getting it done, other than using every excuse in the book he can find...

The guy lied when trading away Erixon... he said we had to many defensemen yet turned around and signed Cotton??? When a guy lies I'm done.

I do believe that the opponent has had more s.o.g.'s in the first period than CBJ has had the entire game at least the last three games in a row.... How do you not make it a point to start shooting the puck? It's laughable!

Most people I know in that generation are not that narrow minded about people of other ethnicities. The world is getting smaller folks. Through hockey, I've met and become close friends with fans all around the world. I've been fortunate to travel to many parts of the world, as well. It's the variety of humanity that makes this world a beautiful place folks! Sorry to get all hippy-like on you, but his comment really struck a nerve.

13 points out of a wild card and both wild card teams on the schedule this weekend.

If it hasn't already, the Believe Train is derailed after this weekend if they don't win both outright. No 3 points games.

Interesting....I remember a period on this board after the Zherdev and Filatov failures there was a lot of sentiment against Russian players.

This was a big one.... Pretty much sucked all hope for a playoff run away. We have half of our captains making dumb penalties that cost us a game...

Would be a good time to take away the "A"'s. You won't get any better occasion than this. Well this team does surprise me sometimes.

I'm hangin in there with ya; I said if this team goes 2-1 this week they still have a shot. As tough of a loss this is, we win the next 2 everything starts looking bright again.

Hopefully this team finally hits rock bottom for the dozenth time this season, and finally get their **** together this time, once and for all.

4 games before the break. Have to have success, as we won't have the "games in hand" advantage after the ASG.

Whopping 13 points out with half a season left. Must turn this thing around NOW. Play with urgency NOW.

I'm not so sure. Morin, Connauton, Hartnell.. That's some of our best players. He's got to buy out Boller though.
Thats it though. Those 3 are really the only stamps on this roster he has. The majority of the top players on this team are Howson's, the bad ones are JK's. And Boll's contract is quite possibly the worst in the NHL

JK practically just got here. His first draft picks are just starting to make the team. You can't judge him like that yet. Heck, Howson's first draft pick is just now reaching his peak (and leading the league in scoring).

And you must be a NHL player or management spouse to have traveled the world as you say..... Listen up, most of America doesn't travel the world, we just want our local home team to be a Champion..... Kay

You summed up my feelings on Boll nicely - all of them. He certainly deserves to be a healthy scratch for a few games.

I never blame the refs, but I've never gone to a worse officiated game in my entire life. No surprise at all he was French

This never makes sense to me. A french guy cant be neautral? So basically, the Habs must usually always be screwed by bias since their games are often officiated by english named refs?

And one was the guy a lot of folks want to hand the "Big C"

I was one of em lol but not again... He's definitely in a slump this season and deserves an A but he isn't a captain. I figured they wanted to groom Horton for that but now I hope they give it to Foligno.

But for the love of Dog, pleeeeeaaaasssssseeee get rid of Boll!!,!,!,!,
