It's too bad the team is so awful that we don't talk about how good Wiz is getting. I'm serious. His skating is so much better, probably because he finally has gone a long stretch without foot/ankle injuries.

Or the game Calvert played tonight (outside of the slashing penalty in the third)

JK practically just got here. His first draft picks are just starting to make the team. You can't judge him like that yet. Heck, Howson's first draft pick is just now reaching his peak (and leading the league in scoring).
Sorry, this is the big leagues. Its about his additions for the NHL side, not the future of the club. Maybe he's a good amateur scout, which is what he always was, but his professional scouting isnt very impressive so far. I almost want him gone for the Boll signing alone  It sucks we've always had GM's with training wheels, we really dont know if he's any good or not, we've only been told he is, results dont look very good right now

MacLean had heart but lacked brain.... CBJ fan knows this.... Answer this though, Trotz in Washington and Laviolette in Nashville..... both teams make the playoffs??

Trotz is an elite coach and has an elite goalscoring threat and elite playmaking threat for the first time. Lavi and Nashville bolstered their team by taking a wild card on Mike Rebiero, trading for goal scoring in James Neal, and most importantly getting their starting goalie back healthy. You know, the one who is arguably top 5 in the league.

What point are you making here? That JK didn't fire Richards after making the playoffs for these guys?

Maybe we could take more than 18 shots next game.

I don't know if my liver could take it.

What a game! But this thread is bonkers. We had terrible injuries, forcing players to play in situations that were over their heads, and this is the injury hangover. With the bottom 6 contributing zilcho in terms of scoring, I'll need to see more before thinking this whole kit and kaboodle won't be much improved next year (egad) just based on man-games lost alone. JK has let us down this year while sitting on his hands during the injury attrition, and he's definitely in my dog house, but I'm not advocating firing him. This team is playing the long game, appropriately so given our youth.

And while Robert is being inelegant, if you believe there is a difference between North American hockey and European hockey then he's not being bigoted. Cultures are different; I wouldn't want a fry cook making my sushi.

It was just too effing predictable, after letting the Habs tie it, that they'd take the lead on Duby's late penalty. Oh, and the non-calls on Montreal were laughable.

No problem haha! I enjoy little 'tidbits' like this. Statistics enthuse me for some reason. Some stats get overlooked that's for sure.

We need a captain. His name is Nick Foligno. Make it happen, everyone.
Agree... for the life of me I don't know why the CBJ are the first NHL team in history to not name a Captain after two years.....

It tells me this, the CBJ organization is Rick Nash shelled shocked.... CBJ MGT are not brave folks... to bad.... to bad for CBJ fan.

Rychel and Adam can play a game fine. Certainly over Boll.

And Dubi oughta be benched too. That was the dumbest play I've seen in a long time. It doesn't count as standing up for your teammate when the other guy (Plekanec) is that happy Dubi hit him.

I was leaving the game with a buddy of mine and said that if were coach that I would bench him. I haven't seen such a stupid, selfish penalty in some time myself.

Watching Dubi bark at the ref coming out of the box after the goal was pathetic. Would have served him well to get a 2 minute minor for unsportsmanlike conduct.

I don't think that he'll get benched, but he needs a good talking to by Richards. The type of judgement that he demonstrated is unacceptable given the mega uphill climb that the team faces to make the playoffs.

A brutal loss. Making up 13 points with 5 teams to pass with 41 games remaining is a herculean task.
