3+ points for Sid, one good sequence from Dach, and a hurt feelings report from Petry would make for a solid night.
Interesting game and I think a big one early in the season. Whatever the outcome I think it will set the tone on how the season will look like.
You win this and maybe we see a bit of a improvement from last year with a 2-2 record to start the season. You lose this and I think we are heading towards a season similar to last year.
Seeing more secondary scoring like the first game instead of relying only on Suzuki and Caufield would be reassuring.
Loses came at the Wings home opener and the Caps who were 0-2 to start. We all know it's likely a bottom 10 finish but personally, I'm just not sure if it's bottom 5 or bottom 10. Difficult to project.
Do we go 7-23-4 from Oct-Jan 1 again? Doubt it but possible. After the last TDL... we went 5-13-2.
Secondary scoring and a better PP surely will help.
Slaf will end up in Laval but I still think he stays for several more Games.Should be a better game tonight than our last two, I feel like we'll be a real home team this year with all our youth.
Looks like Slaf is going to Laval...
Everyone panicking about Slafkovsky on the fourth line. I don't blame them, considering our experience with Galchenyuk and Kotkaniemi. However, it's important to note that Marty St. Louis, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are not the same as Michel Therrien, Claude Julien and Marc Bergevin.
Let's give them a chance to see how they handle these kids. At least more than one week.
Should be a video type of celebration........let's hope the fans give him a loud ovation.I hope the fans give Petry a nice ovation....he was a good player for the Habs for many years.
Laval doesn't play before wednesday. Let the kid enjoy a little NHL money. Why the heck is Primeau being called up???
Why don't we have a back up goalie in Laval under an NHL contract who can be called up in these situations when Allen or Montembault aren't available???
Let Primeau get a full year in Laval as the exclusive number 1 without being yo-yoed! It's not complicated.
He is on a one way contract. He gets NHL money if he plays in the NHL or AHL.Laval doesn't play before wednesday. Let the kid enjoy a little NHL money.
Doesn't he burn the 1st year off his ELC no matter if he plays in Laval or Montreal? Asking because in which case, the 10 games rule would be irrelevantYup. He gets his 9 game trial and they go from there. At that point, they need to decide if he is playing 15 min in the NHL or 18+ in the AHL.
Right now, he is averaging the least amount of ice time at 10:57. Not terrible if he has that ice time during his 9 game trial but it can't go like this for too long. He needs ice time in order to develop well.

Between Hoffman, Drouin, Gallagher, Dvorak, Dadonov, Dach they have accumulated 2 whole points. Slaf is not the problem.
Hes done squat nothing so far.Why did you named Dach with guys like hoffman or drouin, dadonov lol he’s been one of the best player on the team.
He’s part of the team so yes it’s also his problem and that’s fine for SlafSlaf will end up in Laval but I still think he stays for several more Games.

(He is better than the dead wood though, ill give you that.) (Also I didnt watch last game, maybe he had a monster game and I missed him.)
Dach and Anderson is a complete mismatch. One generates his offense through rush chances and transition. The other wants to to slow things down and hold possession in the offensive zone. They are polar opposites. Then you cap that line off with Drouin who I guess needs to be slotted somewhere but isn't helping anyone.
I mean aside from Suzuki, Caufield, Allen, Harris, Monahan and Guhle nobodys been good.If he did nothing, they all did absolutely nothing too.
