Whilst awaiting, if time and interest permit,
Some good stuff here.
A] Mathew hit a bit of a wall against a poor Sharks team, and evidently, won't get the chance to bounce back immediately against L.A.
Patrick Brown in.
That's either protecting #51 or a withdrawal of faith in same.
B] Frederic -- whom I have been down on 0 -- and Coyle, and JVR, solidify a monster puck possession, net front, heavy third line.
DON'T TOUCH!
FOURTH LINE: DON'T TOUCH!
C] Jake Quiet. Benched for missing team meeting. Not good. Warrants monitoring. Left wing please.
D] The top six remains a disjointed puzzle. Zacha and Pasta lack chemistry. Brad trying to work it.
Ongoing issue.
E] I don't miss uneven, always an adventure Connor Clifton. I love physicality -- and at present they have little on the back end -- but never understood the Clifton love. I'm glad he's gone.
In his place, steady, unspectacular, smart veteran presence in Kevin Shattenkirk. I'll take it, and as someone on the above podcasts pointed out, it's helpful to have a veteran presence on the blue line.
F] FINALLY, and most importantly, through recent actions, Jim Montgomery appears to realize delivery of piss & vinegar is as important, if not more so, than rainbows & unicorns.
No Patrice. No David. Less delegation.
Greater command and accountability from the head coach, which is as it should be.
Montgomery is learning, and that's a good thing.
Enjoy the game,
