"How about this ****ing team right here? Look at these ****ing guys."

Oh yeah, I forgot. They are drunks, too.

They really are the worst people.

Comes with the territory. In 2008-09 Doughty was becoming the greatest defensemen ever, every fan wanted Brown on their team, and Anze Kopitar was the most underrated player in the league. Nobody had ill will against us because we sucked.

Now every Canuck/Duck/Shark/Coyote/Blues fan will pop their head into any King's related thread to tell you that Doughty's a whiner who will barely make the Olympic team, Brown's the dirtiest diver in the league, Kopitar's overrated, and Quick's a product of the system.

My ignore list is getting longer, but it beats the hell out of bottom feeding.

Pretty good mantra for HF life

A big shoutout to me tonight, for winning the second intermission shoot out competition. 16 goals on 20 shots. Put me in, Sutter!

Joe Thornton had a funny comment in his interview tonight.

Reporter "Joe how much better is LA's defense this year oppose to last year".

Thonton "The Kings are the best defensive team we faced last year, so what are you asking"?

LOL.

Haha that was you? I think you got 17. One of the pucks bounced back out and the guy picked it up before they counted the ones in the net. Nice work!

Haha, yes, it was. Someone else said that I scored 17, too. Can't believe I missed any, to be honest. Hard to walk out there.

Some reporters ask the stupidest questions, and Thornton can't hide his frustration in his answer.

Props to him.

It's weird. I've been a little harsh on some posters here that I have judged as being overly critical of the team but when things get rolling like they are now is when I seem to get the most nervous. I think about paranoid stuff like peaking too early in the season and players burning out. Then you consider what Chicago has done for about year now and it gives me hope that we can continue at this level of play through June.

It's almost like I'm afraid to admit how excited about this team I am right now. Can anyone relate?

How incredible is Dwight King? He's like Playoff Penner, winning puck battles and causing havoc around the net.

Haha, Darryl Sutter lite.

I've become so spoiled by this team, that I'm actually dissapointed when we give up 1 goal in an entire game.

Seriously. You know things are going well when instead of getting worked up over a close loss I'm yelling at things like "UGH we gave up a goal in the first period for the first time in 20 games" or "UGH great now Martin Jones isn't going to have shutouts in greater than half his games played." We just smashed on a great team 4-1

And LOL at Martin Jones as Shooter McGavin. That's excellent.

It comes from decades of having your hopes raised only to have them obliterated on the foamy rocks of Redondo Harbor during an El Nino.

I feel the same way at times but when you look at how we have been doing our thing (through depth and leadership where it belongs) it calms you down. I still worry about the same things at times but it becomes less and less often as we roll along.
