Jones is Un. Effing. Stoppable. 6-0-0, half shutouts? That's completely outrageous. To be fair our defense has been great, but Jones HAS had to make some great stops in every one of those games, and he has been fully up to the task.

I've also been shocked by the play of King, and give full props to Sutter for recognizing his latent talent. After his SC year I figured he'd be a solid 4th-liner. After last season I questioned whether he really brought anything to the table (other than being relatively mistake-free), especially after looking pretty inept on a handful of offensive opportunities that year and doing pretty much zero scoring. But this season he is like a whole new player. I was skeptical to see King on the 1st line, but suddenly he is not only producing, but is looking like he belongs in the Top 6. And he did it without even giving up his responsible, mistake-free play. I have to say, I wasn't expecting to pick up a great 1st/2nd line winger out of the blue (and for free), but I'll sure as hell take it.

I'm telling you, the more calm the goalie is, the better our defense plays.

Are the Oilers mathematically eliminated yet? Reading their post game thread, they're going nuclear on their team. I know we had to suffer through some lean years from 2002-2009 but man, the Oilers have been in the gutter of the NHL for 8 years now.

The worst part for them is no light at the end of the tunnel.

At least when the Kings rebuilt, you could tell and SEE the changes Lombardi was making.

Oh my god, I found this gem on the oilers board. No mods, I am not trolling, this is just the most hilarious picture I've ever seen :laugh::laugh:

Someone mentioned on another thread about the Oilers board man definitely epic good read! Anyways great win tonight was scared we might lose but super happy for the W! Now let's steamroll the Sharks!

What does Lewis have to do to get a point!?

Get demoted to the ECHL.

Hall made a couple nice plays tonight that stood out but otherwise, their entire team was garbage. I'd feel bad for their fans if we hadn't spent the last 10 years hearing how "this 1st overall pick is going to be the one that turns everything around!"

50 points in 35 games (23-8-40) is really great. It reminds me of the old old days.

I said it before the start of the season and I am going to keep saying it what a great time (life) it is to be a Kings fan!

GO KINGS GO!

Yeah.... But, 40 OT/SO losses? We gotta cut back on that! :sarcasm:

Well, Eakins DID play with Geoff Courtnall on the Blues... :sarcasm:

Great game, let them hang around long enough to let Eberle (?) say they proved they can play with us, but way to close it out. GKG!

Love hearing teams post games, it's always the same.

"Kings are a heavy team, you have to earn your ice against them".

LOVE hearing that.

Not only that, they've had probably 5 top 5 picks, including something like 3 straight No. 1's and still not improved. That's just terrible management and flat out bad player evaluation.
