Kings have 7 shutouts from 3 different goalies. 6 teams (including Chicago) do not have one shutout team wide. No other team has above 5 (New Jersey). Scrivens and Jones are both tied for the league league with 3 shutouts each. Of the 8 goalies with 3 shutouts, Scrivens are 7th and 8th in games played, COMBINED they have less games played than 5 of those goalies. Just mind boggling stats.

In less than half this season. For comparison sakes, in 2006-07 and 2007-08 combined the Kings had 6 shutouts between 4 different goalies (Garon (2), Ersberg (2), Burke, Labarbera) while using a total of 11 different goalies.

The one aspect of Jones' game that is remarkable is his positioning. He never seems to be out of position and he really knows how to take advantage of his 6'4" frame to cover as much net as possible. He looks so calm and cool in net, maybe even more so than Bernier.
.

Have I not been ****ing praising the ever living hell out of fundamentals? God damn it. At least someone is getting it.

It doesn't count though....we didn't face enough adversity.:)

Kopi: "He bailed my ass out tonight!"

Seriously. Do you think it'd be on YouTube?

Hopefully.

Around a Jordan Nolan and a half.

50 points in 35 games (23-8-40) is really great. It reminds me of the old old days.

I said it before the start of the season and I am going to keep saying it what a great time (life) it is to be a Kings fan!

GO KINGS GO!

I'm pretty sure I heard Bob Miller say on the pre game radio show that if Jones won this game he would make history as the first Kings goaltender to start their career 6-0. Did anyone else hear that?

Twitter said the same thing. Two other Kings goalies had started 5-0 (Labarbera and somebody else I can't remember, it was somebody from "before my time").

Are the Oilers mathematically eliminated yet? Reading their post game thread, they're going nuclear on their team. I know we had to suffer through some lean years from 2002-2009 but man, the Oilers have been in the gutter of the NHL for 8 years now.
