Maybe everyone is hurt. Except for Nash, Acciari, Schaller and Hayes, those guys just aren't any good. Oh and Moore, he's actually having a good year.

Schaller is out-Beleskeying Beleskey. And, I'm totally fine with that.

Moore has been awesome. He looks like Kenny Linseman used to at that age, too.

Said earlier that Bergeron has 11 points this year to 32 at this point last year.

Another loss to a bottom feeder like Toronto and Colorado about 2 weeks ago.

Team cant win unless Rask lets in 1 or none and another game that a back up looks like a champ against this team where have we heard this before.

Same old story but hey lets keep on doing the same thing Claude because it has been working for 2.5 years now.

Change anyone?

Well he did change the lines tonight and the pairings.

And had the 2nd unit start the beginning of the PP.

We'll call it baby steps.

But chances are he'll go right back to the well next games with the lines and pairings that started this one.

7-10 in the last month? (Just counting wins and losses, didn't factored in loser points.)

Some bad losses, some good wins. Nothing makes sense.

It's worse than that.

This team has just 3 regulation wins in the last month (16 GP)

Since Nov. 22

3 regulation wins

2 OT wins

1 SO win

7 regulation losses

2 OT losses

1 SO loss

15 of a possible 32 points.

Simply put, not good enough.

Tonight's game: Blihdn Hickey

One of Jack's all time best. Brick was dumbstruck. Deafening silence for 20 seconds.

That was awesome  If you listened you could hear Brick laughing quietly in the background, like he had to move away from the mic for a minute. An Edwards classic; best thing about the game, to be honest.

Well, he isn't out Beleskeying Beleskey of the last 3 seasons. The Beleskey of the first 20 games this season? Absolutely. Hopefully we see the real Beleskey when he comes back.

Is it hibernation? I don't mean this as argument... I seriously don't understand what the hell is going on.

Like... I hate how people say that Rask has to stand on his head in order for this team to get a win. The B's are actually pretty damn phenomenal at limiting shots and prime scoring opportunities. You need solid goaltending (who doesn't?) but it isn't just one guy.

I see a faster transition this year. I see a lot more shots and I see them from better areas of the ice. I know I'm not crazy. The team looks a lot better in these areas than they have the past two seasons.

But **** if they can't ****ing SCORE. It's so frustrating to watch this **** game in and game out. Like how many ****ing periods of hockey have we watched the Bruins completely dominate with NOTHING to show for it? And then one guy slips in his own crap once and it's in the back of our own net?

I'm ****in' losing it, man.

This is where I am at. Everything that was wrong last year (in zone coverage, transition, goaltending) is not just fixed, but allowing the team to dominate for stretches. The power play taking a step back doesn't shock me (although not to this degree) but the lack of 5 on 5 finish is mind boggling. I think most assumed that Backes wouldn't put up the points Loui did last year, but my hope was that Pasta and Vatrano would more than make up that. But, having Bergeron, Marchand, Krejci, Beleskey and Spooner all being way off their production from last year is a lot.

It does feel like with health and a little shake up the pieces are there to go on a nice win streak, and even do some real damage, but after the last too seasons, hard to be optimistic.

Didn't catch the game, was too busy dealing with other stuff....

But what is it with this team playing at home? It's just absurd. Totally the exact opposite of what you'd expect.

Saw Blidh got his first NHL goal though, so that's cool. Anybody know if Frankie's gonna be around soon? I'm curious to see the guy play again.

And my god, did HAYES get another point??

Xfinity is trash.

I DVRd the game and it keeps glitching and lagging.

****ing *******s.

Yep, last two years it was charter for me

Hence why now I only use streams, sure they aren't always the best quality and plenty of them lag too - but at least I'm not paying an extra 40-80 bucks month for it

Cable companies are stupid, one by one networks are going to offer their services online for a small fee like Netflix and eventually they will go out of business if they don't adequately price their packages, offer better selection, don't tack on arbitrary fees, and stop treating customers like they are idiots (the amount of times I've been spoken down to and or caught a cable employee in circular logic is actually pretty astounding to me)

Long overdue for them to go under

OK I'm going to say it...is the elephant in the room Backes? He hasn't done anything to impress me.

he's been bad.
Bergeron backes spooner and krejci have all been bad.

If they are playing up to par, we'd be comfortably in a playoff spot.

So disappointed in this team.

The third goal Rask allowed was egregious. Just 6:18 into the second period, the puck bounced off the end boards and skidded toward Rask. Islanders winger Nikolay Kulemin batted the shot at the net and Rask swiped it into the goal, which promptly ended his performance.

“Well, I think it’s the only reasonable thing to do as a coach, especially a goal like that,†Rask said.

“Seal the deal, wish Merry Christmas on the third one to the Islanders, and call it a night,†Rask said. “You don’t want to think about it too much. As our goaltending crew always said, you’re never as good or as bad as you think so gotta stay even-keeled.â€

“The goals they got were basically from our plays and the mistakes we made,†Bergeron said. “Miscommunication on the first one. Second one, same thing — misjudged plays and not being there for support and communicating. A lot of the things they got were from us. Yes, it was a bad start.â€

“It’s too big a hole, but it’s a hole we dug ourselves,†Julien said of the three-goal deficit. “To me, it’s not acceptable. Some of those mistakes on those goals are coming from some of our best players. Secondary scoring is there, but we’re still not getting the scoring we should from a lot of our guys.â€

Almost completely ineffective, just another body so far. Should have kept what we had that we knew worked since the terms of both were so close. Hope this "better fit" finally better fits.
