With the smurfs
Eriksson is not playing with Krejci,he's not playing with the Sedins either.

Stop making excuses.

If he's not playing with the Sedin, that means he's not playing against the top players on the other team either making it easier to get points. No? He also gets PP time.

Loved Loui as a Dallas Star, was underwhelmed with his tenure in Boston beside his contract year and now I haven't watched a single Canucks game so I can't really comment on his play this year. But fact is, Backes is outproducing him in every categories right now.

Probably should add Tyler to this former Bruins post, as that's what started this mess.

Looking at the group tonight, our veterans are getting old, and there is a distinct lack of skill. I'm also seeing bad attitudes from DK and Rask (although I have to give him credit for toning down the attitude he used to be showing at his own teammates during the game, maybe because his own stats are looking up from last year).

I'm all in favor of major changes at the trade deadline, including trading away some of the core. Marchand/Pasta/Carlo are the only guys that are not tradable, in my opinion.

Look folks, we have to watch an awful product every night that can't shoot for ****. We need management to finally admit what's right in front of their faces, look at the empty seats, look at the ****** product, and decide once and for all what they are going to do about it. If they think that Debrusk, Senyshyn, and Zboril are going to save us, they are deluding themselves. It's even more tough to watch knowing that players picked after those three are doing better, but it's nothing I didn't predict years ago.

Let's aim for a real hockey team in 2020. It's nothing to feel bad about, we had to take care of business post-Thornton and Savard. We have to do the same thing now. Trade them. Thanks for the effort boys, but 2011 is long gone. The club over the individuals.

I know he's not "young" and he's had a terrible start to the year, but I think Bergeron is as close to untouchable as you're going to get on this team. He's about the only other one though (Maybe McAvoy).

Agreed, I think the only way Bergeron ever becomes available is if the Quebec Nordiques come back to the NHL and make a ridiculous offer for him

Agreed. A league-worst powerplay improved to even a league-average would do wonders for this team.

What's missing?

You know what bugs me about our powerplay? Is the decision-making and puck movement is lethargic. Hot potato that ****. Not "get the puck, dribble-dribble, hm, pass the puck, dribble-dribble, hm... pass the puck, dribble-dribble, lob it at the net/fire it high and wide, skate back and get the puck from your own end, repeat". PK units basically just have to wait them out.

There's so many times I think we're at even strength. Fly the puck to the corner or throw a hard wrap in and then go bang away at a board battle for 20 seconds. And that's if we get enough guys there. The entries suck. And then it's stand around with Krejci and Krug at the point. They don't even use Bergeron as the bumper any longer. We use to get so many back door plays with Iginla and Loui. Now we just fire lazy wristers that get blocked and cleared.

First i want to say Bergeron is the face of the team right now. Unfortunately the team right now is not very good. The man is a hall of famer and i have nothing but respect for what he has done for the Bruins. Here is the question you have to ask. Is he the future of the Bruins? Probably not. Can you go with a 1st or 2nd line Center who has 9 points in 33 games ? Not if you want to be successful. My heart says you cant trade him. My head says you must look to the future. When some of the youth grow to being in their prime Bergy will be past his. i really dont have an answer but this is what Sweeny is facing right now.

My gosh, have we not learned anything about that player???? His best seasons came as the wing for Richards,Ribeiro and Krejci. When he was given to Soderberg/Kelly he flailed and struggled. These are not excuses, they are reasons!!!!! WTF!! Do people not learn anything by experience?? Geez!~

Certain mistakes killed this game but will say NYI sat back and Bruins couldn't get enough finish.

Frustration to me is how we make so many goalies look good, would much rather see them shoot at the flippers and crash the net then shoot directly at the goalies chest. IF it's the 7 hole they're aiming for then we need serious work on it plus the NHL needs to reduce the goalie jersey sizes coz that 7 hole can be stopped by the jersey now too.

Time will determine

Next 25 games a lot will happen

C- Bergeron Krejci ? Moore

(Czarnik & Spooner)

LW- Marchand Vatrano Beleskey Blidh

(Schaller & Heinen)

RW- Pastrnak Backes ? ?

(Hayes Nash Acciari)

Most of spots full

I hate playing the optimism game, cuz it's really not my thing, but yes,

Center: Moore should be kicked up; guy's done nothing but hustle and outperform. Good on him. Czarknik, too; he plays better as Center; love him; Spooner: 13th

LW: Fark Beleskey; so done with him; add Schaller and Heinen; we have little to lose at this point.

RW: I'd love to see if Bleeder could move over and have Acciari and him there.

I'm a Louii hater, but Backes is really only of very marginally better value to this club at this time.

I would certainly add Rask on there. Our goalie depth is bleak, and this league is turning into a goalie league (look at the crazy stats of the top goalies). He's locked in long-term and still relatively young.

You are not wrong. We saw what Loui is just months ago. He now plays on a team worse than the Bruins, naturally his production is down. Loui on a line with Bergy or Krejci would be doing much better.

Taking into account the problem PP and Krejci's health I still believe Loui would have 25 points here right now. The Sedins and Loui started out painfully slowly with the conclusion that Loui was too much like Daniel and somehow that hurt the whole line, now he's lining up with 2 players that have never eclipsed 32 points in a season. WTF do we know about Loui when he plays with lesser talents? His production declines. He is not Tim Schaller who would need to play with Mario to pay off,he simply needs equal talent.

We lost to another sub .500 team. Another game, more mediocrity.
A comeback attempt that was too little, too late.

BTW Khudobin doesn't look like an NHL #2 GK to me. Can we recall Subban and give him another shot?

This place blows my mind. Khudobin has 5 mediocre games and we want to replace him with Subban, who played dodgeball every game he's played at this level AND has absolutely horrific AHL stats this year? Probably not the best decision.
