What are you trying to prove here? This team was 19-11-2 headed into this one and have been finding ways to win all month. Coyotes kryptonite or not, they were favorites for a reason and should be expected to take one from a shit team, not get blown out by them.
The team is f***ing bad on paper and we shouldn't expect that roster to win games. When they do it's gravy, when they don't it's normal. That's all.

JT Compher is our 1C, we have a fresh waiver pickup in the top 6, the 4th line is not a real line. There's nothing there, WE SHOULD NOT WIN.

Would not be surprised at all to learn later that Toews is dealing with some kind of injury. He definitely looks off right now. Rough night for him.

Just a typical night against the Coyotes. Puck bounces didn't go the Avs' way at all. Avs shots never made it through, and it felt like every single shot the Coyotes took from distance made its way to the front of the net.

Not a good game at all from the Avs, and Georgiev with a rare off night. It happens, flush this one quick and move on.

I would like to see Ben Meyers and Alex Newhook shoot it more. I feel like both those guys are holding onto the puck way too long in the attacking zone.

Lastly, I'm pretty confident in saying that Cogliano is REALLY banged up. He looks like he's skating at around 60%, and he's biting on every single fake when he's coming in for a check, as if he can't change direction quickly enough.

If the 3-3 goal stood the Avs were winning this game. They had all the momentum in the world and were doing whatever they wanted against the Coyotes for a bit.

That took the life out of the Avs and the 4th Coyotes goal finished them off completely.

On to Los Angeles.
The Cale bobble ended this one early. You just knew it wasn't going to be their night after being robbed of that incredible goal. Completely swung the momentum.

Gesh....Rycroft's been pushing the travel excuse since pre-game.
Even the arizona announcers talked about it. Said it was crap because players aren't used to travelling the same day they play on the road. They are used to having their afternoon naps and having everything work like clockwork... (bunch of babies) LOL

All our forwards are injured and the D is underperforming as f*** this year. I don't know if it's bad timing of directly related.
Toews concerns me. 2 goals on the season and hasnt been his usual great defensive self all year long. It wasnt a concern in October. Its almost January and its now a concern.

So they still mentally weak.

Ever since we eliminated Zona from the playoffs we've had issues with them. We just don't show up. It's really odd. Oh well we can't win every game and giving up points to them is better than doing so to other teams in the western conference playoff race.
Even that one game they won last year or the year before Rantaa stood on his head and almost won it for them

Finding it hard to watch the games this year. The injuries are just taking any fun out of the games.

Just boring and predictable.

Not sure how some these guys can't seem to get any healthier. It's kind of ridiculous hearing that Landy, Manson and Byram aren't even close. I mean what the f***. It's been 6 months on Landy and Helm, 2 months on Byram and a month on Manson. At some point they are either coming back this year or they aren't. Might as well shut them down for the year at this point, if they aren't even close.

Sakic and McFarland also have to start getting aggressive for a 2C, clearly we aren't getting healthy any time soon and we need a ton of help offensively.

I thought they were alright, couple lucky bounces like off Toews' skate right to an Arizona player all alone.
That one was lucky, but the other two (One was technically killed but they scored seconds latter) I felt like we did a bad job chasing guys. Also the guys out high did a bad job taking away the shooting lanes.

I don't think it's a coincidence that both he and Cale have fallen off of their respective cliffs. Bednar has been forced to piledrive them into the ground due to just how bad and unreliable the 2nd and 3rd pairings are.

Cogliano definitely does not look ok. He is probably feeling even worse after Fischer basically tackled him into the corner in the 1st.

Starting to wonder if this team is not going to do anything even if they make the playoffs because this is the cursed season from hell with these injuries.

To be honest with you this was the case even before the season started for me. I want to get to the draft or get to the playoffs.

It's ALWAYS a "Pro-Line" game when the Avs play arizona in the middle of the season because nobody gives a shit.

ONE f***in' powerplay ? C'mon! That pick from that rookie was egregious and a horrible non-call when you consider the circumstances of the game up until that point.

Never surprised against this team though - I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER AND NEVER FORGET that shane doan PUNCH-IN goal in overtime that was allowed to stand by the NHL and their reftards with absolutely no review with coach Gretzky hurrying his players to get into the dressing room like a thief in the night.

Which pick? The Crouse goal? Because on that play I was shocked interference was not called. Not only is the Coyotes forward attempting to block Toews' path to Crouse, he is actively moving in order to block him.

If that is not interference I never want to see Cale Makar get called for his PP blue line "picks" again.

Setting entitled fan stuff aside coming off of an incredibly enjoyable season and Cup run, it has made this season especially jarring. The fun factor we're used to has been wiped away almost completely. They've gone from the league's elite at 5v5 to arguably the worst. Sucks man, but what are you gonna do? They clearly gave it their all and then some for the run and even if they somehow miss the playoffs completely this year as a result it'll still be worth it.

Actually, it was at the start of the 3rd period. The coyotes passed the puck up the right side and that rookie #53 basically picked Toews so that the puck carrier would be able to sneak behind and have an easy path to the net.

Just a blatantly obvious penalty especially after the rather weak call on Lekhonen in the 2nd. We also saw a coyotes player make the same play in the 3rd and get away with it.

Bad officiating tonight (like most nights) but the Avs didn't deserve to win this game tonight regardless.

Brutal to watch. Nuke lifts this team. And the team crashes w/o him.

There's absolutely no snipe on this current edition of the roster other than Rantanen.

I'd rather see Kaut on the ice than Newhook. And that ain't good 'cause both should be in Bednar's doghouse. (Oh, that's right Alex is playing center these days....

LOC is LIS (Lost In Space).

Meyers is all speed and no finish.

What happened to Foudy? Eagles??

You do realize Kaut is hurt, right?

Also, Newhook, not playing center.

Yes, Foudy is on the Eagles. I'm sure he'll get another shot soon enough.
