At this point, I’d welcome an interim coaching change just to see if some our scrubs look any better in a different light. Maybe guys like Ras and Compher could find their game under a new head coach. Reestablish some trade value in these guys.

I just want to see Dylan happy at press conferences. Guy deserves nothing but some happiness in Detroit. The shit he's gone through....
I appreciate that Larkin is driven and wants to win... but also, it's a game. Have fun. You get paid millions to play a game. Throughout his tenure as captain, I've never gotten the impression that he's enjoying the ride. He's never really unclenched.

I can see that also. Hard to tell if he hates losing, or if he's maybe just not a very outgoing guy. I can't say I personally would love a camera shoved in my face during every loss.

Like you said you got 8+ million reasons to put on a smile. I appreciate his serious nature when it comes to being a captain, I think you need that in a captain, but you also need a guy who can get spirits up. I do think he has some huge shoes to fill with the list of Wings captains historically and that puts a pressure you don't feel in many cities. Especially when we have been hot garbage for basically his entire career. You likely start to feel like the common denominator.

Still love the guy. He's been the reason to tune in for some really bad years. Want to see him get his moment in HockeyTown.

On that note, I do believe they need a coaching change and/or a locker room change. They may have all great locker room guys but that doesn't matter if it doesn't work on the ice. As much as Larkin looks like he isn't enjoying the ride, the whole team looks like that. Not just him. Minus Fischer usually.

Stevie actually paid to get rid of the one guy that was having fun. Really sounds like a management issue.

I’m watching the Habs feed because SportsNet+ sucks ass and you can’t choose your feed anymore and these guys have been slobbng on Hutson’s knob the entire game. It’s insufferable.

That and they also sucked at calling the game. All they did was talk about how good certain Habs were and how good Kane is. Garbage that we can't pick the broadcast as well over half the games this season have been the other broadcast and now we are going on 3 in a row without Ken and Mick with the Phi and 2 MTL games.

RIGHT NOW they obviously aren’t and probably won’t be. This team was immensely better last year. But something is up. We’re not this bad.

Goes to show how unappreciated Ghost and Perron were. No idea why we let them go. Same with Maatta

Whatever is going on it’s infecting the team.

It’s so depressing.

Because they accepted longer terms deals on other teams. 2 years for Perron and 3 for Ghost.

At the end of last season people here were uncertain about giving either of them a one year deal, let alone two or three.

Winning these two montreal games might have been the last chance. Now it’s miracles required to not have this be a tank year.

Only watched the last few minutes of the 3rd, but reading thru the comments it seems business as usual…Not sure what the reason for changes to be honest? We’re nearly halfway thru the season - IMHO just hop aboard the tank.

I thought we were outta the playoff picture about a month ago…
we're 6 points from a wild card spot and 5 points from dead last in the league. weird spot to be in

Walman was trash. And his cellys were annoying.
walman lost the plot in the second half last year and that's probably why he was shipped out, but his enthusiasm was refreshing and his personality is probably sorely missed from the locker room

I think it does make my eye twitch seeing this reversal as well. Not saying everyone but I remember reading Perron is too slow, why is he on the PP. Ghost is so bad defensively, why is he getting Mo's PP time he is the future not Ghost.

I'm sure there are some who really missed Perron's late game penalties but most wanted him gonezo.

Same old story tho, other things are good but the other shit buries us. Talbot gives up a softie, PP goess 0/4, PK doesn't get it done, and no real primary scoring. But we got secondary scoring for a change again this game.

And naturally this was the first time the Habs have had more than 30 shots in a game this season.

Was a big loss last night.

Win b2b against the Habs and the playoffs are within reach.

Hope they show up tonight and play a full 60 minutes.

Wasn’t able to catch the full game last night, but did not look like a very inspiring performance from what I did get to watch.

Lalonde has to have the team heated up from the get go. Larkin has to stop looking like a Debby downer and start smacking this team in shape too.

Another loss tonight would really hurt the playoff hunt.

I believe they miss Cat.
Can we get third for Tarasenko?or trade him for Rampi or something
Yea anytime they split Cat off that line to get the second line going, the first line suffers. We need another top 6 winger on this team in a bad way. Make that two next season when Kane is gone.

I have no trust in this team going on an extended winning streak. They haven't shown that ability at all this season.
Expect a change, idk how major, too much smoke coming though. If there is "smoke" around Yzerman usually something is happening. (imo)

Not watching tonight but the entire league feels like there is 4 or 5 elite teams and everyone else can beat everyone else, any night. The parity the league wanted makes everyone looks mediocre at times.

and we probably won't see a lot of moves around the league until more teams clearly fall out of it and the buyers/sellers becomes clearer.

Funny how many people are talking about "the playoff chase" and about "Lalonde being fired".

Both those ships sailed weeks ago. It's blatantly obvious management does not have any interest in managing this team short-term. If they did, Lalonde would have been canned after that horrible California trip. People just need to realize Lalonde is unfortunately here for the season. Yzerman does.not care about this year at all, Lalonde is not going anywhere.

Also the playoff talk is funny. This team is awful, yet people are still thinking they can squeeze in. Again, if the manager actually managed the team properly, waived a pylon or 2, made a trade or tried one of the kids in GR, then who knows what would happen. Yzerman is "tanking without actually tanking". He knows this team is bad on paper, but keeps the same roster in tact because he knows it's a horrible roster. He also knows there are 4 studs at the top of the draft.
