If we beat the Canes Saturday, 4 winnable games on that Atlantic trip, 3 of which I'll be at. This could turn into a very good month.
Loved the Western Canada trip last week, but I'm jealous about this one! Have fun ... I plan to try it next season if the timing works out.
Yeah it is annoying but as soon as the Yotes win the cup (hopefully soon) the majority will jump on the Coyotes bandwagon.

Let the record show that I was on the Coyotes Bandwagon before being on the Coyotes Bandwagon was cool.

Loved the howling the last 4 minutes. I hope that's here to stay too ...

George Gosbee's seats are very nice. I recommend following him on Twitter and try to win his seats. My second consecutive 6 - 3 game I've attended. Glad to know you could hear the howling.

PlayoffStatus.com ( http://www.playoffstatus.com/nhl/westernsospg.html ) shows the Coyotes with the easiest schedule remaining and having played the second toughest schedule. Keep playing the way we have and this could be a good month.

A Coyotes road trip, sounds awesome. Have lots of fun.

I will be having the best week of the year, my wallet will not

Paid $100 for the 3rd last row...in the upper bowl at the ACC. If we win that game I'm getting my money's worth. Howling at the ACC, howling at Union Station, howling on the subway...I'm going with 7 other Leafs fans, so that should be enough to shield me from all the $20 beers being thrown right?

Thankfully Ottawa and Buffalo were not that bad. 4th row in Buffalo for $46!

Then again, would much rather be watching a game at Jobing, but I guess this will have to do. Hopefully my trip turns out as well as yours ck26!

Just back. I have to figure out a better way to get to the arena from Tempe on weeknights. I've come to accept 45 minutes, but 1:05?

That was no 11,000 people in attendance, but whatever. NYI fan support is nearly non-existent in this city (thankfully).

I can't believe how good Conor Murphy has settled in, and just how much Tippet trusts him. He's not going to be an offensive dynamo, but he's filling Klesla's role better than Klesla.

As much as I like seeing six goals, I would have preferred a lockdown at 4-1 instead of going into full firewagon mode, and predictably allowing two. I'm not Smith's biggest fan, but you people crack me up with claims that anything other than that third goal was his fault.

And AY's points about Yandle are spot on. He is turning into a leader fast.

Ribiero was in top form, and fun as hell to watch. Sure wish he could have buried that chance in the first; the other one he was outright robbed of.

For that time of day you did pretty good. About what it took me to get from 95th Av and Camelback in West Phoenix to Gilbert and Southern in Mesa for five years (work).

ADOT needs to get the South Mountain Freeway (L202) built.

I was at my daughter's basketball game tonight so I'll be taking in the replay here in about 30 minutes.

Some people who are bagging on Smith here seem to forget that for the first 10-15 odd games he was taking about 10 more pucks at him per game than he should have (was leading the league). He was crashed into more than any other goalie because the D-corp couldn't figure out how to keep the opposition out of his face. Yet the team was still winning. His numbers haven't haven't changed much since then so I guess that was his fault too??

I'm not saying he's perfect but many of the team's losses this year can be directly contributed to the five other guys in front of him slacking off when they've have the lead and playing not to lose.

South Mountain Freeway would make my life so much easier. It would also relieve a lot of traffic off the I-10.

Also the sombreros and the howling. =

I've seen a few sombreros when I was there at the beginning of the season. Are there more now? I am thinking about wearing mine the Dec 27 or Dec 31 game.

I like Boedker's response to Walsh's cheesy question about a 2-0 empty net break away with Klinkhammer..."I would shoot it." haha
I think you're lying Boeds but I still loved the response, if nothing more than for disrupting another one of Walsh's "guys isn't that what it's really all about" moments!

Quoting myself... I just spent 2 hours looking into the South Mountain Freeway project. The eastern portion along Pecos Rd seems pretty easy to get built. The western portion will take longer and will be a lot more tedious because of acquisitions of numerous properties with existing buildings. The total project is estimated to be about $2 billion.

What does it mean for the Coyotes?

Well, for fans in Chandler, Akhatukee, and to the south it will allow us to bypass the rush hour madness in downtown Phoenix and beyond on the 10 and save a significant amount of time. The bad news is that it is still years or maybe even a decade away from being completed.

The good: 6 goals, a win, good game for Bods, Klink, and Ribs
The bad: Smith gives up another 3 goal game
The ugly: Only 10,996 fans showed up

Rome wasn't built in a day. I don't think 11k is to bad, considering it is a weeknight game, close to Christmas and playing the Islander's.

There's a lot of positives to take from this game. Like Boed's wrister.

But, the my main observation for tonight is just how much Yandle has stepped up in a leadership role in Doan's and Morris' absence. He plays better, and is vocal and passionate on the ice. He's future Captain Coyote. Trading him would be devastating for that locker room.

That's why he has that A on his chest. He has always be vocal and passionate on the ice, just more noticeable with Doan out. He is playing his best consistant hockey in a couple of years. Some of us wanted him traded when he had that really bad stretch awhile back. Again, DM is right again.

The first goal the puck was going way wide. There was no reason for Smith to get out of position in an attempt to blocker a shot going so wide. Smith's fault.

Second goal was tipped by Z, not Smith's fault.

Third goal was was all on Smith. Tipped or not, he needs to make that save. You pay someone elite money, they need to play like an elite player. Are we going to never say Smith should stop a challenging shot because it's, well, challenging?

Smith has sucked, accept if you want, or keep being delusional about it. In the end, Smith allows 3 goals per game and has a .911 sv%. Yeah, nothing is his fault, though.

Smith has not played up to par the last while, and he knows that. But don't forget, his play was outstanding the first month and saved this teams --- more than a few times. I would also like to see Greiss play more games to keep both goalies sharp and rested.

Glad to get 2 points. Wasn't paying too much attention to the game. Glad to see Boedker and Klink get on the board a couple times. I hope Greiss gets to play some more, he's been solid, and Smith has been shaky.

I love the howling towards the end of the game. It was really loud in the arena, I'd be surprised if you couldn't hear it through the tv. Not sure though, but that was the first time I've been to a game and something like that is really loud. Pretty awesome that our team name is unique in that we are able to do something awesome like that.

This. Smith was a wall early on, and we are where we at now because of him.

Watched the second goal the Islanders got. It seemed to be caused by Hanzal not getting off the ice; he had about a 1:40 shift. Just prior to their goal, he dumped the puck into the Isles corner, but shot it in too hard. The puck rebounded and came out to the circle and the Isle's Dman Ness was there and played the puck up the boards to Tavares. Hanzal stayed on the ice but couldn't catch Tavares and Vanek.

This was such a fun game to be a part of!

Ribs is truly a treat to watch! He is so skilled with his puck handling.
His open shot that he whiffed on, I think caught HIM by surprise. He was totally shaking his head after he missed the open net.

Klink, Yandle, Bods, and Moss were impressive. Bods needs to keep shooting.

The boys looked very good, except for the small lapse where Isles cut into the lead.

The howling was great and was pretty loud in the arena.
The group two sections over from us were a riot!

"HE SHOOTS HE SCORES, Hey Poulin, YOU SUCK!"
They really got into that chant!

All around a fun night! A solid win, two BIG points, and a giant slap back to the Isles for the pounding they gave the Yotes.
