The Habs bias is still just as strong on NHL.com, I see. I was still buzzing when I woke up so I thought I'd give the highlights a quick look - and not only do they succinctly omit Pastrnak's killer slap shot just before Tuukka's big save (they can't have Price looking average), they include a soundbite of Jack right at the end ('the game had a lot of salt') that is included for the sole purpose of making the Bruins look whiny.

It's a classic psychological trick - do something bad (officiate in a clearly one-sided manner) and then make it seem as though the victims were somehow guilty of wrongdoing.

**** 'em. We got the win.

Emelin's "hipcheck" on Marchand. I seem to remember Marchand getting suspended for a "lowbridge" when he dished one out.

Quaider getting turnbuckled. I seem to remember a similar play that resulted in hundreds of calls to the police when it was Chara dishing it out.

Rask getting checked in open ice. I seem to remember when Lucic took out Ryan Miller, people called him an out and out goon.

Some teams are protected and some teams are targeted. Just fed up with the double standard in the NHL.

please post this on the main board. I am so tierd of double standars in the NHL

Hab fan base are brutal. Two threads on Marchand and Krug- crying and looking for a suspension. No talk of the hit on McQuaid that was similar to Patches and they had the entire police force out after Chara or the hit on Marchand which was a low bridge by Emilin. Wow! Just amazingly one sided view.

I mentioned on the habs board how the Emelin hit was a low bridge on Marchand's knees and he himself had been suspended for a hit like that and if the hit on Rask had been on Price there would have been a call for sure, of course they are saying that they were all clean hits LOL. What a bunch of idiots. They added two players this year I hated long before they were habs so now I hate them even more, Shaw is one of the biggest punks to ever play not far away from Matt Cooke territory and Radulov I despised going back to junior when he played for Quebec, there was no denying he had talent, but man was he ever a dirt bag.

Good news

They won

Emelin attempt to take out our top 2 players failed for a night although who knows how 63 & 88 feel this morning

Montreal is good and hateable - I kind of like it

The game is in the conversation for one of the most poorly officiated I've ever watched in the NHL

Can't ****ing believe they are reviewing the Krug hit yet Shaw hits McQuaid from behind into the same area where Chara hit Pacioretty and this was worse he hit him knowing where he was. The low bridge by Emelin on Marchand, Marchand got suspended for the same type of hit. Emelin hitting Pasta was borderline, and lets not forget they hit Rask when the new rules clearly state goalies are off limits even outside the crease, if Price had been hit there would have been a habs PP , a suspension and calls into 911. ****ing dirt bag organization if there ever was one.

We beat the Canadiens on the road. That's huge!

I wonder if this win just saved Clodes job.

I wonder if Spooner kicks on from here into the next gear or if it's a one game thing and he gets relegated back to the pine?

If we can somehow acquire a good top 9 forward that is defensively responsible, it would be huge for this team.

It would allow Clode to play Spooner in the 3rd period because I can't take Nash / Moore / Acciari for the entire season! ;)

Last nights game illustrated everything that is wrong with the current NHL. Emelin for the second game in a row throws a clip to someones knee and doesn't drop the gloves. Radulov runs miller from behind doesn't drop the gloves and somehow manages to get a 4 on 4 situation. Krug lays out Shaw because Shaw does the one thing you don't do in hockey and that's skate through centre and leave yourself vulnerable. Then krug steps up fights Gallagher (even after
Logging a lengthy shift and I'm sure Gallagher knew this) and gets taunted yet bruins can't respond to the taunting because they'll get penalized. Then Shaw runs Quaider into the Stantion and skates away.

NHL should be embarrassed and if I'm Claude I'm telling my guys to stop asking them and just do it. Chicken **** hockey leads to way more injuries then a good fight.

It's a sad day when you hear Emelin is a hard
Nosed player. Wonder what Kasparitis would be in today's NHL. Let's ask Neely

Publicly calling out the refs is pointless. Completely and utterly pointless. You don't win calls doing it. And, you get fined.

For some reason, it's the wet dream of some posters on here. I don't get it. I'd rather we have a coaching staff (and broadcast team) that is a bit more honest with the fans as far as the problems and at least being conscious of them.

Disagree entirely....although there's no way to prove either opinion.

To me, it's human nature, that when you're accused of something, you evaluate your actions and possibly change what you do.

If someone called out the refs from tonight's game in public....maybe the next game the B's get the better of the calls.

Either way....rolling over and taking it hasn't exactly gotten them anywhere good.

Listening to Team 1200 here in Ottawa, both of the local hosts said that Krug's hit on Shaw was clean. They said that Shaw reached out to poke the puck ahead and while doing so lowered his head, how could Krug be at fault. If Krug does get a suspension, our management had better step up and ridicule Quintal. Of course, Quintal will say that he excused himself from this decision because of his ties to both teams.
