Ottawa has got to be the most boring team to watch, absolutely a snoozefest whenever they have possession of the puck. Toronto has dominated this game, Ottawa is lucky to be in it.

Toronto's secondary scoring needs to do something.

They know who they are and who they are not. They are not go end to end with the Leafs or any team. This style works for them
Leafs better get used to it, Habs and Sens will play this style of game and rely heavily on their goalie

Either way it's not the spirit of the delay of game penalty and as with anything else the refs can and should use discretion. If a deflected puck doesn't count, hitting their opposition stick while it's being cleared should also nullify the penalty.

Campbell hasn't been spectacular, but he's saving everything he should and giving the Leafs a chance to win. That's all they need, and Andersen can't provide that

I've been a big fan of Andersen, but it's becoming harder and harder to disagree with this.

I hope some actual competition from a good backup in Campbell and the contract year will wake Freddy up quick.

Yep, Auston Matthews, Toronto's secondary scorer at this point, needs to do something.

When you got nothing but lemons, you better make lemonade......

Yup ... pretty much where I'm at too. I like Andy but enough with the slow starts.. or any excuses. It's a contract year and a short season.

If Campbell plays well and puts on the pressure that's hopefully going to fire Andy up. He shouldn't even need that though.

If not ... play Campbell more

Dude, he had like 15 looks in the last PP

This is too hyperbolic for me to even really know what you mean. I honestly didn't think "we need to set up one of the planets best goal scorers more" was a hot take. Clearly we've reached an impasse here if your eye test is to the contrary of that.

I miss the days of hotstove when it was Friedman and Cox and every time Cox came up with something Friedman would have this "wtf? where did you come up with this shit?" look on his face.

*Missed yesterday's game, from what I understand Brodie has had a good bounce back tonight.
*JT is going to have a big year.
*I'd like to have seen Matthews respond after that Watson moment.
*Did Bogo and Dermott play in the 2nd? A good thing if I missed them?
*Murray is having a very solid night for the Sens.
*Should be an entertaining 3rd.

Holl watches Matthews get run from behind and acts like he didn’t see it. Softest 6’4” defenseman in the league.

The Gauthier of D.

Auston Matthews is 6'3, 225lbs. He needs to take care of himself. Jonathan Toews does. Ryan Getzlaf did. Vincent Lecavalier wasn't afraid to defend himself.... When you're a big boy, the size of Matthews, you can't be looking to the bench for Simmonds and company to handle all of your problems. Sometimes you have to fight back on your own.

Good point, want some respect? Show them you won’t put up with thuggery

210 this year but your post is on point.
