This is true, but you also can't ignore the guys they got from Japan in Okada, White and Ospreay. Okada is 37 and White and Ospreay are 32 and 31 respectively. All 3 almost went to WWE as well.

Okada has been misused if you ask me. IDK what happened to the rest of his faction. The Bucks are basically part timers now and Perry just disappeared.

The bucks went to Japan, Perry is hiding.

I think they’re making okay use of Okada. I think part of him coming over was to not be what he was in Japan.

Sorry...as much as the guy is a worthless POS, nothing will beat Hogan and Rockers (a close 1/2). Surprised they didn't include Dom turning on Rhea.

Dave wrote in the observer that Dwayne wanted Cody to go heel with him and he had to be told no, so they went to Cena.

It’s a WWE list so I get why there are some of these where they are wrt recency bias, but the top turns have to have led to huge business and the main event of Wrestlemania in most of these cases.

2, 3, and 4 are definitely super all timers, even if 4 never lead to a big PPV match.
Becky's turn was huge historically as its essentially the start of her becoming The Man. They don't turn her, she probably never adds that edge to her character yhat in turn sends her to the moon.

15 is way too low. f*** Hogan and all, but Macho turning on him was huge.

#30 I have to ask which time? Kevin has turned on Sami like 5 times now

Is it a turn when the fans refused the turn and continued cheering for her anyway?

NHL had its awards show there last year. Probably limited seats for fans who'd want to attend but that might be for the best. Wonder how tough it might be for security though, after the NHL Awards show fans were bombarding various players for pics as we left the theater and re-entered the hotel. To his credit Sergei Bobrovsky was more than happy to take pics with everybody, but most players understandably wanted to GTFO. The Hughes brothers waited for the crowd to thin out and had a team of people to help them exit.

Don't know which omission off the top of my head is more hilarious:

Freebirds slamming the cage door on Kevin Von Erich or Larry Zybyzko turning on Bruno.

Those are no Nikki turning on Brie tho, we all remember where we were in that moment

Unrelated but #25 is sneaky one of my favs, highlight of Mark’s career

I know that they have gotten rid of a couple these guys by choice but is it just me or does it feel like AEW losing A LOT of talent since WM 38?

Cody
Punk
Black
Miro
Starks
Lucha Brothers.
Eathan Page
Jade Cargill

It feels like they are bleeding talent.

I dunno that if you really dug into things, you could say that any of these guys were lost "By choice", for Tony.

He did let Cody go, foolishly, by not holding him to his one year option. Between Cody's immediate impact in WWE, and as evidenced by what he's done with Starks, Miro, and Fenix, he probably would not do that in hindsight.

If Tony actually wanted to let Punk go, he would've done it long before he did. He terribly mismanaged that whole debacle from the start and let it get out of hand, and then really had no choice but to dump Punk, not because of what happened, but because of the irreparable damage in the locker room.

Page and Cargill, if I remember right, just didn't want to re-sign and went to WWE. Miro was just difficult and he held his contract longer than he should have. And from what I remember, Starks, Black, and the Lucha Bros just didn't wanna be there anymore so he iced them.

It sounds contradictory to say "He should've iced this guy, and shouldn't have iced these guys", but it really was stupid to not hold onto Cody, but force little guys like Starks and Fenix to stay. Those guys aren't likely gonna be impact players in WWE and holding them (And holding them out) just damaged his overall image to future free agents he might want to snag/retain.

This reads like grade A bullshit.

You can go all the way back to that interview Cena did with CVV and know that this is something he wanted to do. Dave also came out the night after EC and said the turn was a total "Surprise"... Cena's entire RR media interview foreshadowed entitlement that has never been Cena's character.

Glad they're doing the HOF as a stand alone event again. That's great. Absolutely hated them doing it in the ring after Smackdown.
Totally agree...which is why 10:00 PT is terrible timing. I'd love to watch, but unfortunately, 1 AM is a bit difficult.

Depends on when they decided it.

I would imagine it was decided way back when Cena/Cody was being reported as the match.

Cena vs. Cody both as babyfaces reminds me of the old wrestling arcade game where you could play Undertaker vs. Undertaker and they would simply change the pants on one of the Undertakers lol.
