Yeah but to whine about your team getting the short end of it when that team and coaching staff have to know they tried to get away with it? That's the sad part of that team.
That high stick to OEL is worthy of a freaking Oscar for best actor. Holy ****. And that Doan knee injury comes in a close second. Utterly classless.
Obviously, especially OEL. But if Tippett complaining about it maybe gets them a call down the road, it's worth it for them. I'd say treat most of it as white noise.
I'm not saying the Coyotes don't annoy me as a fan. Some of them more than others. OEL selling the phantom high stick, it's part of the dance I guess. Doan's theatrics are a bit much, since he gives as much as he gets. Muzzin
standing in his way is better than some of the shots Doan has given to other players. When Torres becomes a human missile, that's excessive. Smith, nothing even needs to be said there.
Best way to be able to ignore it is for the Kings to win. The Kings got the 2 wins, they got the 4 big points. If the Coyotes want to whine about it, what can you do? Like Doan said after he calmed down, the Kings found a way to win last night. That's all that matters.
It's hockey. It's physical. It's emotional. Things will be said, and things will be done. A win is a win though.
