Except he wasnt injured this game and he played well.
Edit forgot to hit reply.

Gallant is incapable of riding youth

Having all 3 of Laf Kakko and Krav in the top 6 would have made him physically ill

It’s why he can’t keep a job more than a few years. He doesn’t want to change and take a risk. He’d rather fail with what’s comfortable than take a risk with an unknown

This is not what’s happening

We just have a buffoon of a coach that’s incapable of playing his best lineup if it involves a bunch of young players

id would love to see these lines

Panarin Mika Kakko
Lafy Chytil Kravtsov
Kreider Trocheck Vesey
Blais Goodrow Gauthier

scratch Carpenter, Brodzinski, Harpur

Lindgren Fox
Hajek Trouba
Miller Schneider

Kravtsov must've played a joke on Gallant that backfired.

Or was making fun of him or imitating his sniffs to the others in the locker room... and then "He's behind me, isn't he?"

I got a text from Emily Kaplan and she confirmed VK74 is a healthy scratch tonight.
So did I

Yes, major problem. Not to mention he adjusted half decently carrying Nemeth for large portions before forming a solid pair with Braun.

Speaking of Braun, he is a guy i'd LOVE to target at deadline. We got him last year from Philly, so they'd likely be willing to do it again. He fit well, worked with Schneider, knows the system. Likely wouldn't experience the adjustment period like most would.

JVR at 50% plus Braun for a 2nd and a prospect would entice me. Imagine

13-93-24
10-72-74
20-16-JVR
91-21-26/12

55-23
79-8
Braun-4

I don't mind that lineup. If Krav can't handle playoff hockey top 6 you swap JVR to 3LW, move Krav to 3RW and slot Kreider at 2RW
Braun was one of those dmen i was talking about, we need someone better imo.

I'm fully expecting Goodrow to score the GWG tonight after all of us have been inconsolable for 8+ hours leading up to the game

But that doesn't change a damn thing. To be completely honest, I think Goodrow is more integral to this teams success than Kravtsov is. I don't think Kravtsov moves the needle enough offensively for everything Goodrow brings to the table in terms of faceoffs, PK, leadership, defense and versality.

BUT...Goodrow can't do all that effectively and fulfill his role and importance to the team when he's forced into the role Kravstov is suited for due to reasons beyond anyones comprehension.

This is the first time I've ever defended Krav and I don't know what this means for humanity but I'm officially saying Krav is now unfairly out of the lineup and should absolutely be in based on current construction of lines and by the way hes played after sitting 8 out.

Point still stands if I can only have 1 IN THEIR PROPER ROLE come crunch time, I pick Goodrow 10 out of 10 in SCF game 7
Goodrow has actually played well, but there's no reason to move him up the lineup, he was doing great where he was. Drury must have been hoping he'd fail after being out of the lineup but he didn't, and now they are jerking his chain again

Gallant might not like cocksure confident kids.
Morgan Barron had the same swagger and there was a point last season when Barron was the only spare forward and Gallant went with an 11-7 rather than dress Morgan. Yet early in that year Gallant used 11 forwards as an excuse for a loss in games where a forward was either injured or tossed.

I honestly think the problem is we have a narcissistic personality as GM. I bet if we could look back, none of Barron, Kravtsov or Lundkvist were players Drury wanted at the draft.

You know, Schneider hasn't had an NHL ready partner since he got in the league, that's an indictment of the organization who are basically throwing him in the deep end. His partners have been Johnson, Hajek, Tinordi Jones etc etc. Non of them are what you'd call an anchor for a young dman to lean on.

Preach to me brother. Amen.

Who's gonna trade for a guy who can't stay in the lineup over Vesey and Carpenter, its absolute trash they are scratching him and playing Goodrow in the top 6....they just can't do anything right, finally get Vesey out of the top 6 and now Goodrow joins it.
If they’re aware of how this organization treats 1st rounders/prospects then I think they’d have a few smart orgs. chomping But the return will also reflect that of a smart, observant head office. So even if they pull off a trade it wont be a good return.

If Lias Andersson goes for a 2ed (60th overall), than Lafy if traded would go for an AHL all star to help the Wolfpack and the 55th pick of the draft. sounds accurate. Shocked they got more for Rick Nash back than considering what they gave up.

The biggest issue is that we desperately need another top six RW. if we had another RW, we could roll four really solid, balanced lines:

Laf--Zib--New RW
Bread--Trocheck--Krav
Kreider--Chytil--Kakko
Goodrow and some combination of Vesey/Gaut/Blais

Kreider gives Chytil the same FO insurance that Goodrow does, while being a far bigger offensive threat. Kreider/Chytil/Kakko is, to me, the most obvious trio that has never been tried. Just a really balanced line.

Kravtsov was just getting comfortable and ya pull this crap, imo this reaks of Drury again. Kravtsov was usually the first one on the back check last game, he wasn't perfect but was getting better. This is absolute garbage.
"Drury" doing what?

Vince: "I know you put Kravtsov there last game, any reason you take him out to put Goodrow there?"

GG: "No reason. Coach's decision"

LOL
We might need a coach who can make better coach's decisions this guy is so stubborn
