The yo-yoing of the kids is getting ridiculous. Second line one night. Press box the next. That’s a cold hard benching by any standard. But to Gallant it’s about matchups or keeping the extras fresh? C’mon.

The extras should be cycling on and off the fourth line. If you’re good enough to play in the top three lines, you should be a mainstay in the lineup unless you do something so egregious it warrants a statement benching.

Kravtsov has been playing well enough to warrant staying in the lineup. If I were him I’d feel embarrassed, pissed off, and not even sure what I need to be doing.

Braun was one of those dmen i was talking about, we need someone better imo.
I fully agree with Schneider being saddled with subpar partners, but I would not lump Braun in with them.
Sure, he's a 3rd pairing defender and thats all, and we could absolutely find better for a higher price, but is the higher price worth it when you consider its for a 3LHD role that Braun fills just fine

Gallant did well last year with the team. We went further than expected. I had a lot of goodwill towards him for that.
I am officially on the fire Gallant train as of today.
Benching Kravstof was the last straw.
Besides that his line up choices this year are out of whack. Putting 4th liners on the top line and second line. Also he never takes a time out when the team is getting shelled and needs one.

Laff Mika Kaako
Bread Chytil Kravstof
Kreider Trochek Vesey
Johnny B Goodrow Gauthier

Maybe Blais at LW4. He hasn't really shown us much this year though so I would sit him this game

It’s crazy. And if Drury is behind it (which I doubt, but let’s say he’s in on it) it’s even more egregious because if you don’t like the kid and don’t think he fits into the future, wouldn’t you want to increase his value?

Let him continue to show what he’s got out there instead of shutting him down after a few positive games. And a win for crying out loud

Gallant scratching Kravtsov tonight after what he's shown this last little bit is the absolute EPITOME of jerking the kids around. I'm officially getting frustrated with this, coming from a Gallant supporter.
This latest shit knocked GG down a few notches for me too. It doesn’t make any f***ing sense.

And the way it works with coaches is a lot different than players. You start at 10 and then your actions with the club subtract that number. Very rare for anything to be done for it to be reversed

Meanwhile, Kakko tapping Kravtsov on the shoulder.

"I know how you feel, son. At least it's not a critical playoff game."

Imagine having a Ranger, forget a top6 full of them.... just one Ranger.. ONE. That can snipe corners consistently

He did the same thing last year and made it work with great goaltending which is absent this year.. The fact is we don't have all the proper pieces . We have 4 real top 6 guys and 3 or 4 3rd line guys (and usually less with injuries) and 4 or 5 4th line guys and overall we are slow. Look at what happened at the trade deadline last year and how he was able to make things work with Copp , Vatrano and Motte. Pretty easy to coach when you have players to coach.
