Goodrow in the top 6 is so painfully obviously ineffective, he's actually a strong player in the bottom 6.

You're making the lineup worse by having him there in 2 spots. The 2nd line is worse bc he's on it and 4th line is worse because he's not on it and Carpenter is instead.

And Kravtsov has looked good, he's gotten better each game he's been in. It doesn't make any sense at all to be taking him out. Not for the player, not for the team.

this also seems like a good way to lose the locker room (even more)

keep f***ing over the same young players and create those divisions

This seems like it could be a Panarin thing. He has always liked a grinder on the other wing and coaches seem unable to say no to him
we will never know the truth but the bottom line is the buck stops at the coach in this case.
or I guess put him on Trochecks RW tonight and keep him in the top 9 and move Vesey to the 4th line.

Im not a huge Kravy guy either, but the kid has played well after dealing with some injuries and then quietly watching from the stands, healthy, while the team fell down a rabbit hole.

Past few games he's been one of the better offensive forwards and those numbers support it. What is the f***ing deal with this team and basically mind f***ing every young forward they draft in the first round?

Unbelievable

Gallant talks about not worrying about matching-up against teams and worrying more about what the team has to do. Yet they change up the lineup constantly and never give any lines time to gel. Literally no patience with this club.

Let them f***ing play, who gives a flying f*** if Carpenter used to play in Vegas and this is a "return" for him (from what 3 years ago??). Hes been a healthy scratch recently!

All to get Ryan f***ing Carpenter back in there so he can do nothing positive and inevitably take a bad penalty.
I don't know how anyone can disagree with this but obviously the coach feels massively different.
Having Carpenter out and Goodrow center a much more effective 4th line is something I guess the coach doesn't want.

Kravtsov sucks.

Carpenter sucks more though and shouldn’t be a thing.
The latter is 1000 percent true. The former is debatable but can we at least give the guy a stretch of games especially if he's gonna be trade bait?

That 2nd line combo has never really been used this year. Fil has good numbers with Panarin and Goodrow separately.

If it works, great, but I wouldn't be taking out Kravtsov to see what happens. Bread-Fil-Krav has 11 minutes with great numbers, so basically 1 game at ES.

My issue is that the 4th line will take a blow here cause of Carpenter.

I do wonder if the vets speak up about combos at all. The young guys won't because they're not at that point. Panarin can't be thinking Goodrow is better on his line than Kravtsov.

The other thing is don't we need to know what we have in Kravtsov? We know what Goodrow does. We know what Carpenter does. If Krav is an answer at RW, there is much less urgency to get a top 6 RW and you can focus on a middle 6 type and a LHD.

Maybe we should just commit to drafting only defensemen and goaltenders and just hope we get enough Kevin Hayes-esque defections to yield a forward group.

ppg Hayes this year on not such a great team. Quietly having a decent year.

I’m fine with Brodzinski getting some games but it should be at the expense of Blais/Carpenter, not Krav. He hasn’t been great but he’s got more points and a better +/- than Blais since his return.
