Have to think it's because he's ex-VGK.is Gallant allowing Carpenter some type 'revenge on ex-team' play instead of putting the best team out there?
we will never know the truth but the bottom line is the buck stops at the coach in this case. This seems like it could be a Panarin thing. He has always liked a grinder on the other wing and coaches seem unable to say no to him
I don't know how anyone can disagree with this but obviously the coach feels massively different.Goodrow in the top 6 is so painfully obviously ineffective, he's actually a strong player in the bottom 6.
You're making the lineup worse by having him there in 2 spots. The 2nd line is worse bc he's on it and 4th line is worse because he's not on it and Carpenter is instead.
And Kravtsov has looked good, he's gotten better each game he's been in. It doesn't make any sense at all to be taking him out. Not for the player, not for the team.
All to get Ryan f***ing Carpenter back in there so he can do nothing positive and inevitably take a bad penalty.
The latter is 1000 percent true. The former is debatable but can we at least give the guy a stretch of games especially if he's gonna be trade bait?Kravtsov sucks.
Carpenter sucks more though and shouldn’t be a thing.
Happy Bday dude
Thank you! LGR!Happy Birthday!
ppg Hayes this year on not such a great team. Quietly having a decent year.Maybe we should just commit to drafting only defensemen and goaltenders and just hope we get enough Kevin Hayes-esque defections to yield a forward group.
