Who was it who said Tkachuk would be getting plenty more breakaway opportunities after that pass slide off his stick...

This game was surprisingly low event for a game we outshot them 32 to 20.

Winning games, especially winning games with big goals late, will absolutely change that. Winning changes everything, it doesn't really matter how useless the other team is.

If they string together a good December then there will be energy in the arena for January.
Yeah

At the end of the year they measure good teams by the W and L column

Winning solves everything

It's a confidence builder in some ways but in other ways... it's Detroit and while our records are similar they play like our DJ Smith teams did. Outshot. Outchanced. Win some based on luck and powerplay. It's a game we should convincingly win if the team is playoff bound.

But this time we got some luck and a late goal with a hard shot by Norris. And maybe that can be a confidence builder.

There's been a lot of "f***, that went wrong" moments for this team so far and finally something went right with under a minute left in the 3rd period.

"They need to win!" Team wins. "They didn't win the right way!" Wow. Skunkypoo
I actually don't care that much about their record at the end of the season.

I care about the entertainment value of each game that I watch.

If you go back to last year, in the weeks just before Tarasenko was traded and Norris was injured, they were clearly out of the playoff hunt but JM had them playing really good hockey. And somewhere I posted that I was "Really enjoying watching Sens hockey."

Of course it's more enjoyable when they win. But playing good hockey -- by my definition -- and winning go hand in hand, so that's to be expected.

Just happy they won. We got lots of work to do, but like it's within reach for this team. If they can play a possession game with a consistent forecheck, we can make some noise.
We really gotta get some secondary scoring going though. Seems like it's either we score 8 or we score none

While I agree, the end goal of watching hockey is to be entertained, playoff hockey is way more entertaining, and I'd like to see some of that...

Winning a tight, low scoring, one goal game where we limit their chances is winning the right way.

You must have hated our run in 2017 with Guy Boucher's 1-3-1.

Idk man, the least you could do on Pizza line reunion day is put up 5 or 6 goals to score the fans a nostalgic moment of the days we'd get a free slice seemingly every home game

But that post was replying to you asking if Boston Pizza has tacos, so...

Yeah, and then they responded that they have everything. Right from superstore frozen section.

So at that point I'm responding to "they have everything. Right from the superstore frozen section to you."

Lol, sorry to confuse you guys with the Superstore comment. It's just a long running joke I've heard about BP many times. I appreciate it's reasonably priced (by today's standards) and kid friendly.

I'm not confused lol I was just making a joke that even if BP's stuff is superstore food, most is deep fried and I don't have a deep fryer so it works for me haha.

So long as they have deep fried tacos' I'm in.
Have you ever tried pan fried tacos? The shiz.
