I hated them in 2011. Asshole players like Kesler, Lapierre, and Burrows. Of course their fairweather fanbase cemented the hate even more with their arrogance. After that, they were quiet for awhile until last season. Then we got dipshits like these that make it 100% impossible to ever want to cheer for the nucks.

f*** that dumb kid.

It made beating them in the playoffs so much more sweeter after the "hahaha, you lost to us 4-0 in regular seasonnnnn."

Four ways to summarize that fanbase for me.

1 - that video

2 - I was at the last regular season game against them where they completed the "sweep" of the Oilers. You would have sworn they won the Stanley Cup. Nuck clowns in attendance were literally taking selfies of a group of them raising up 4 fingers on one hand and an 0 on the other. Basically was the greatest thing to ever happen to them at that point ever. Were in heaven.

3 - The first intermission of Game 3 in Edmonton where I believe they were up 3-1 if memory serves. Again, Nuck clowns in attendance had acted like the Stanley Cup was won. Loud celebrations, high fives in the concourse and leaving the bathrooms, etc. Basically what normal, not stupid people would do after actually winning the series. I've been to plenty of big games and plenty of rivalry games in a bunch of buildings and I have never even once seen a group of people act so ridiculous having not actually won anything. It was the first intermission.

4- 3 of those idiots flew here for Game 6 and sat in front of me. One of the three seemed to actually care about what was happening on the ice, the other two were more interested in selfies and generally acting like f***ing idiots. Left after we went up 4-1, then the cherry on top was seeing them get their asses kicked outside the arena on the YEG Wave instagram account the next day

They're a clown group of people. I don't exactly know why, but they are certainly unique in terms of NHL fanbases.

What kind of parent lets a kid talk like that let alone cheers them on? If that's the future of humanity than may the nearest asteroid kindly decimate this planet...

The lady at the 9:41 mark pretty much describes the canucks fanbase in a nutshell.
Nothing's changed with that dumb ass arrogant fanbase that hasn't won f*** all their whole franchise.

Agreed they are clowns - I also find a lot of them never actually played hockey growing up and are not really involved in the sport outside of their fandom. I think that plays into their obnoxious nature in a way as well.

Right, like I said there's a lot of very difficult games ahead for the Oilers that will hamper our efforts to catch up. Is it impossible to pass them if we lose this game? No but it makes it harder as we lack tie breakers and thus will have to ensure we have more points than them.

I don't like this "lots of time left" mentality. When you fall behind in points it takes a lot to catch up. Vegas is a very good team and nobody knows that better than we do.
Listen all games are tough lol no team can be taken lightly. The oilers know that . And I am sure oilers mentality is not that their is lots of time left. They will treat this as a big game. I am talking from a logical factual point as a fan. This game does not even come close to ruining our chance of catching vegas.

Its fine to respect Iginla (he was a fine player) but a true Oilers fan isnt confused about his allegiance.
Im old school in that regard.
Allegiance just isnt transferable to the Oilers longest running rival.

It’s a little like a Liverpool supporter cheering for Man U.
There isn’t quite 100+ years of competition yet. Plus a lot of the fan bases in Europe have different make ups.

Like Man U vs city.

Not a lot of cross over possibility there.

Anybody else hate the "Golden" Knights more than the Flames at this point?

Also their PK is only 21st in the league. If we get a PP good chance we can build some momentum.
If when you realize you can't neutralize the playoffs leading goal scorer you decide to Tomahawk his arm off, yes. We will hate you until the end of time.

Is Arvidsson back tonight?
haha

Hyman isn't even back.

Arvidsson is probably waiting to get embalmed or something
