I listened to the game on radio and watched on TV. Really liked what Andrew Cassels brought to the broadcast. I hope that they make him a regular. It always adds when you have an articulate former player as the color analyst. Jody does a great job on TV. Hope Cassels or someone like him is on the radio feed from now on. Also love Ryan Mitchell does a great job as well. Really sounds like a professional broadcast

Thank you Fred..... I loved the old crew but will listen in for the new guys in the future...

They had streaks but mainly even when playing well they ground out wins with gritty play, good goaltending and good structure under Hitch and Richards. I used to love the tension of a 0-0 game into the third period when Hitchcock was coach. Every once in a while those Jackets would control a game now and then. This is different. In several games this team just controls the ice and even plays a puck possession game. This team is playing much better than any of its predecessors.

Back in the day if Jackets had a lead late in a game, it was dump and retreat, get hemmed in our zone and hope Tugnut, Denis or Pazzy could make the next save. Wash rinse, repeat. :amazed:

Agreed + 1

I remember how much hope I had for this team in: 2000, 2003 - 4, 2005-9, 2012-14.

This seems different to me.

Good time to do it..... After what seems to be 20 years of CBJ losing we actually look well staffed, well coached and ready to make a name in the NHL.....

I love Torts, he's a guy the CBJ never had in the past, I'm proud of JD for taking him on after his checkered past that has been cleaned up....

Torts is tough, no slackers in his room.... Just ask Johansen...

It's night and day from teams past. This team just makes one feel confident that they can win even if down a goal or two.
I didn't think they could do what they are, having a young defense, but man this is fun.

If the third period is the best period of CBJ hockey many more wins are coming folks....

Torts looked giddy in his presser.... That said knock on wood, the work must continue to win...

Keep working CBJ!!!!

Another awesome night in the arena. Very workmanlike, professional effort. Even when the Yote's scored the first goal I was not worried. Really hoping for that hat trick in the end; but it was not to be.

2 points, let's move on...

Cannnnnnnoli!!!

What up dude? We need to resurrect the chat and get the gang back together.

I've been tempted to start it back up, but frankly I get dragged away from games a lot of late (or only catch them on my phone) and so am uncertain about my ability to keep that going. Still...

My work schedule is pretty consistent these days, I'm off at around 6 and don't work weekends, but traffic is a ***** and I may or may not be home at 7 for the start of the game. But I'd love to get that started again especially now that the team is winning *knock wood*

Gagner has been impressive, and I say that not because he had two goals (on one of them he was just in the area). I knew little about him other than his name before this year, but he's been a skilled, smart player. Almost every night the guy just makes plus plays. He's been in the middle of a lot of action.

Great pickup so far. How did this acquisition come about?
