Easily the best B skater tonight who didn't register any points. He was all over the place making good plays. Won a big board battle that kept possession on a shift in which the Bs really tilted the ice. Was surprised someone didn't score on that shift. It's been an issue for years and years — going all the way back to the Clode era.
Last year's playoff choke and several collapses this year have put a finer point on it.
It's gotten where it needs to be can't be ignored. Something needs to be done, either strategically or from a roster construction standpoint.

If I'm monty I'm working on D chipping the puck up the boards with forwards creating layers simulating last minute games . Doing it over and over again . Non stop.
Boys we gotta get ourselves a Bruins-Leafs playoff series, the hockey gods demand it. I'm rightfully terrified of that idea but we just gotta. Another great watch tonight, I have been entertained.

I don't care about the President's Trophy or even playoff seeding; we've seen how irrelevant they are.
But it's the principle - the B's are terrible 6-on-5, and unlike 3-on-3, that is a factor come playoffs.
So I'm happy they won, but it is tempered by blowing yet another should've-been regulation win on the road against a division playoff team.

Haha. The Leaf stayed on Pasta all the way past the goal line assuming he wouldn't be the only Leaf inside the blue line. Bs with two wide open players when Marchy scored his goal. If a B did what Tavares did on that play this forum would go nuclear.
