at this point I really do believe that Trouba is nursing something
he's the last player you want to be playing whilst injured and it sounds like cope but I have no other way of explaining how much of a concrete tube he is this year

I understand there is a lot of hate towards Trouba, most of it unwarranted because it is based on his contract where he is overpaid by about $2 mil aav, but he is not this bad. He just isnt. He is nowhere near what he is capable of. He is fumbling plays and making poor decisions everywhere.

But then I look at Miller. He has been terrible in his own end. And he has not progressed enough offensively to offset it. He looks like a pylon out there at times with plays just going around him and even through him.

That D pair is the biggest problem.

They are also not getting nearly enough help from the forwards. Opposing teams are attacking with all 5 guys. You cant take a shift off in your end otherwise guys end up wide open in prime scoring positions.

Even though both were bad goals in one way or another, they are still goals because of turnovers, poor defensive play, and poor positioning.

Honestly, I didn't think that was a bad period overall. Good and bad, but we're playing a good team. Last year Igor would've kept it 2-0 end of the first.

Sue her for malpratice, have her lose her license, Trouba than isn't bogged down to only signing to a big city to further HER career because...it's dead, much like the captaincy on this team.

I think what he needs is a psychatrist. It doesn't seem like his head is on right. Can't handle the pressure of being Captain. He's constantly choking.

This team just loses far too many board battles and loses almost every 50/50 puck all over the ice. It’s not all bc they’re slow either, they’re weak. Their sticks are constantly tied up. They’re being outmuscled and outworked night after night after night.

Honestly, blowing a multi goal lead in the first period after how last game ended is completely embarrassing from Igor all the way to Gallant. Inexcusable.

I notice them shying away from board battles. Something that didn't happen last year.

If we were getting 920 we’d have 6-8 more pts in the standings that’s kind of my point. I think we’ve been way better than last year we just aren’t even getting remotely close to the goaltending.

That and there are still way too many defensive zone breakdowns to win consistently. They need to tighten that up and go from there. I just don't know if they are capable. Trouba-Miller have been awful.

This would have merit if the Rangers player more consistently and respectably for the majority of this season. They have been a joke. A choke. This was my mantra as a retort all last season when the team was winning games. I cant back them with no leverage of success to go off of.
