If a team is going to be relocated to Houston or Kansas City, I think the Rangers should be in the running.

Maybe the only way this franchise can shake off that goat sacrifice that was made to whatever deity for that '94 Cup.

I don’t know for me it’s always the goaltending. It’s not where it was a year ago. But I mean not a little off I mean a lot off. We always made a ton of mistakes. And when shesterkin was off it looked a lot like what games 3 and 4 in Pitt looked like more times than not.

Shesterkin just wouldn’t give back this lead like that last year. Gave up 4 in third third now another 2 goal lead. Just wouldn’t happen

And that puts the whole team on edge.

It would be absolutely CRAZY if Gallant put Gauthier net front on PP2 and Jones on the point.

Imagine giving the unit a guy that has speed through NZ and on forecheck and a QB that can distribute the puck efficiently and hit the net with shots.

Just a WILD concept to possibly make the 2nd unit reliable and worth giving a full minute to when the 1PP struggles.

Can't even blame the 1PP for taking 1:45 even when they suck when 2PP has Trouba AND Blais on it

This team hemorrhages high danger chances. Its out of this world unbelievable. Way worse than last year. And the defenders are regressing. Miller looks awful. Trouba is somehow worse. Jones not getting better in his own end. Murphy needs to f***ing go.
at this point I really do believe that Trouba is nursing something
he's the last player you want to be playing whilst injured and it sounds like cope but I have no other way of explaining how much of a concrete tube he is this year

Good start, crappy ending...

My intermission questions:
1. Why, with modern rinks, zambonis and pauses for ice crapping, so teams still change ends each period? Is it just a holdover from the good old days or does it still serve a purpose?

2. How do stats deal with goalie interference situations; taking our last game as an example. Does Schneider and the Rangers get credited with a shot on goal (it happened before the interference) and if so is the credited witha save even though he didn't save it, or do they just pretend that the whole thing never really happened? And if they just ignore the stats, do they also add a second or two back onto the clock?

This team just loses far too many board battles and loses almost every 50/50 puck all over the ice. It’s not all bc they’re slow either, they’re weak. Their sticks are constantly tied up. They’re being outmuscled and outworked night after night after night.

Honestly, blowing a multi goal lead in the first period after how last game ended is completely embarrassing from Igor all the way to Gallant. Inexcusable.

By the numbers they’re significantly better than last year in terms of high danger chances against

Just horrible with puck management and trying to get out of their own zone with cohesion.

Their point shots are useless. The whole point of point shots, pun intended, is to create high quality rebounds.

Where ther f*** did Tatar learn how to shoot like that. And Sharon's shot was equally sick.

And LMAO at Trouba going for the kill hit while on a power play.

Trouba has has the biggest negative impact on this team and its not even close. I don't wana hear this "he isn't 100%" shit either. If that's the case it's been all season and he should have been sat down by now.
Of course they shouldn't be playing him through a serious injury, but they have nothing in Hartford that I would even want to see a little bit. And until the Reaves trade, they didn't have the cap to pick up a Nick Holden or something

This page is now a Ricky Diffendale prayer circle.

This is certainly a factor. He hasn't been as good. But some people will never fault the goalie
