Trotz won a Cup with a team full of high paid underperforming stars

Backstrom has consistently been one of the best playmakers of his generation. Ovechkin has underperformed once in his entire career and it was before Trotz got there. Hardly the same situation.

We have a 5v5 absent Mika, prior to tonight a 12 game goalless streak. A looking lost Kreider a clearly injured Trouba and a not fitting in as planned Trocheck.

Its a far cry from one of the most underratted best playmakers of his generation Backstrom, the best goal scorwe of all time Ovi and a Norris winning John Carlson lol
