Ok, that's just a completely dumb penalty by Nolan. That one was dumber than most penalties most players take.

and tell him to do what?

trade brown?
have him play our lord savior Dowd?
find a decent goalie for tree fitty to fit under the cap?
send a holistic healer to Gaborik and Quick's house?
fire Sutter?
replace Nolan with another useless plug?

what?? tell me whattt

Get angry in a coffee interview with Gary Thorne?

Lombardi built this. He has his cup teams. And he has this. How does he get out of it?

Pittsburgh is maybe a model (in terms of gaps between Cups), but Lombardi is betting with a bit less talent, and a bit less cupboard ( both his fault). If he wants to be the smartest guy in the room, and win with a dynasty building system, then he has to actually do it. He's not doing it. This is not a winning system with this collection of players. This is not a dynasty. This is a mess.

Too much let up, the Kings have spurts of good play, then they just completely let off the gas for a few shifts.

Just not playing hard the whole period. They are paying for it, like they should.

Whelp, as much shade as I've shaded(?), this stupid game, it's just a game and it's a process. Keep on keeping on, everybody!

Mcnabb reminds me of Randy Jones . It scares me . No hockey IQ , slow and only good for hits that take him out of position and passes to the other teams stick

Again, every team is different. Crosby and Malkin were 22 and 23 when they won the 09 Cup, and a year younger than that when they got to the Final. The Hawks got to the 3rd round and won the Cup while both Kane and Toews were on their ELC's.

The Kings have neither of those realities. The Kings don't have 7 years while building around Crosby and Malkin in their mid 20's. They don't have 2 cap crunches they get get around like the Hawks. Kopitar and Doughty were already on their 2nd contracts when they won. Brown's contract is a cap killer, and you can't get rid of it.

The Kings didn't have the very early success the Penguins and Hawks did. It was 3 years between Kopitar and Doughty being drafted. The Hawks and Pens got Kane, Toews, Crosby, and Malkin in back to back drafts.

Well then. It's even less likely that the Kings get back to cup contention.

Thanks!

King's being King's.Don't they love going on 3 games skids, then turning it around in the beginning? :shakehead

Toews hasn't looked his explosive self the past year and change. He might be already slowing down.

If Toews turns into a 50 point center with a his cap hit....Ouch.
