I understand what you're saying.

I like the Kings to change style, and play more uptempo.

But I understand what that takes, the Kings don't have the players to do so.

So it would require a top down, tear down, and about 5-7 years of drafting.

I don't know that it would require that much of change, but I agree with currently personnel it's not possible. I think most of the top guys could adjust but the bottom half of the roster would have to be replaced and a new identity built. That'd mean new coach, new philosophy. I don't think that's that likely right now.

Maybe if they miss playoffs this year I could see Lombardi try mini-rebuild. Try to revamp the King, Andreoff, Nolan, Gilbert, Greene, etc, etc into more speed. It's risky though as the team might completely lose their identity and be forced into the big rebuild.

what is the point of nolan if he isn't the one fighting? did someone tell him he was a skilled payer or something else dumb like that? Does he even have a hit?! Might as well put Greene in on the 4th line

he's actually more skilled than you think.

Doughty looked like he was doing a Karlson imitation shift there. Just totally sans defensive thought, going for it offensively.

Nice to see the "top" or Carter line get some changes, but the 4th liners grind one out :handclap:

How about that INCREDIBLE non-call holding Nolan's jersey.

The guy spun Nolan around, no call.

Good lord.

He isn't on the team to be a skilled player he is supposed to hit and fight and stir **** up, and yes every once in a while he shows some skill but it doesn't make up for the lack of everything else the rest of the time.

Looks tired, but held his own today so far.

Pretty good when Forbort is the one that looks more stable paired with Doughty.

Heh.

he's been rock solid, always making the smart play and playing with a surprising amount of composure. the more I see of him the more impressed I am.

Seems to me that Nolan was pretty good at drawing penalties a couple of seasons ago. But he's in a precarious position roster-wise, so he's hustling today.

Speaking of penalties, to the PK we go. Hey Carter.

I could have sworn that Carter was hooked by Morrisey just before and no call but Carts get the penalty.

No Kopi and no Cater for draws...

Let's see how they do..

Not surprised, Crappy call. Rosen or Major can make a write up on these stupid calls
