Were Brown's from before or after he forgot how to play hockey?

King is probably more justified then Brown at this point (might be 2 of 3) but leaving Carter out of the shootout and not to mention Pearson... Sutter clearly felt like giving up a point.

Sutter has also done this in the past. Remember the first game of last season where he dressed Schultz to send a message.... which then cost them the division title.... Yeah.....

It's cool. Sutter sending a message or giving guys that don't normally get a chance the big stage... whatever the reason he doesn't seem to think the extra point was all that important.

100% correct.

The guys in the bottom six have played their guts out, and produced.

No one should be complaining about any of those guys. They are a big reason the Kings have any points at all.

What? You think their 5-1 loss in the first game of the season cost them the division title??? Their only goal was off Shore's back wasn't it? And Schultz was only a -1 that game.

I think Sutter said in the past he gives guys a chance on the SO to get them some confidence and get going offensively. Probably not a good idea when they'll be battling til the last game for a playoff spot (if they're even that close) but I think that was what he said before.
 
I feel the same way. This is far more the Kings hockey that I'm used to. I swear I woke up every day after 12 still in disbelief that we won and wondering "Wait did that really happen? Or did I die?"
 
I'm honestly getting a good vibe from this team. Like they're gonna hover .500 until everyone gets health and then just rip the league a new one. Our depth is as good as it's ever been, just actually need the top guys to be the top guys!

Seeing Dwight in the shoot-out was worth the price of admission. Highly entertaining!!!
 
Favorite Sutter SO move was tossing Richards out there at home against Winnipeg in January of '15.

Guy was done and about to hit the AHL. Sutter puts him out in the SO and, of course, he fails.

Kings go on to miss the playoffs.

It's not an exact science obviously, but that decision pissed me off so much.

Doughty has to be one of the worst point men in the NHL on the PP. I'd probably rather have Greene since he won't just blast shots into defenders legs.
