Sutter.... I've been hard on him for the last few games, but not harder then he is on his players.... Then he goes and redeems himself! Sutter is full on in tank mode! Every point counts!

Way to go Sutter!

Gilbert played well.

Brown's line continues to be a force, those are positives, Budaj is still giving the Kings a chance to win most nights.

Can't ask for much more out of Budaj.

Gutsy third period. Glad to get a point.

If they can get at least another point on Tuesday I'll be ecstatic.

Just stay in the race until we get some health.

Another point would salvage the road trip. 100% right, stay afloat, get healthy.

This team hasn't played a single game with a healthy roster this year.

Crazy

I think gravel and gilbert need to be moved to top pp line with carter toffoli and pearson Let the 2nd line be martinez doughty brown dowd setoguchi

A top PP unit of King, Shore, Nolan, Forbort, and Lewis would at least be less disheartening when they didn't score and barely get a shot.

But we'd still have to watch it. Doesn't the FCC have rules against obscene broadcasts? Don't want to run afoul of the law now.

Honestly, they would probably get shots through, cause they would play simple.

They just probably would not score much.

Said before the road trip .500 would be good. Still a chance to do it. Things aren't looking too good, still not convinced they could make a serious playoff run, but things don't look terrible either. Although I'm not sure that's a good thing. I'd rather fully suck than be a 7-8 seed and get bounced in the first round.

Geez, who would have taken the next shootout? Nolan? No TT? No Carts? Makes no sense.

I believe at the next home game a fan will be pulled out of the stands for the shootout. Punishing the top players by rewarding players who cannot get results is insane. King literally almost over skated the puck and then the hand of God came down and touched him. And if the theory is Sutter threw out those 3 because the top players couldn't get it done on the PP isn't a 1-1 game what Sutter wants? They got them to that point as did the players who lack skill to create offensive chances. So the blame is equal, then the top players are punished and the result is a loss in the shootout. Who gains from those types of decisions that seemingly NEVER work out in the Kings favor under Sutter?

Kings post-game audio: Setoguchi and Coach Sutter.

Sutter's scrum topics include: Thoughts on the game. How much did they miss Kopitar? His thoughts on the major? Does he like how his club battled back? What has impressed him most with Peter Budaj? How has Setoguchi fit in with his club? Getting contributions from the 4th line. Why did he see Setoguchi as a good fit? What does it say about him battling to get back into the NHL? Choosing his shooters in the shootout. His thoughts on Laine.

Toffoli has not potted a shootout goal ever, in his entire NHL career.

So who's fault is that ? Certainly not Sutter.

Carter would have been a good choice. Dowd wasn't a bad choice.

Budaj let two in anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Sutters go to picks are usually Kopitar/Carter/Gabo. That's who Sutter has picked the most over anyone.

Two of those guys are injured.

If anything,

Sutter should be using Dustin Brown in Shootouts, he has 18 Career shootout goals, in 52 attempts.

Best on the team is Kopitar 33 Goals, Carter has 13 career goals in the shootout.

Kopitar 33
Brown 18
Carter 13
Gabo 12

That's who you should be sending out for Shootouts.

Just heard the Setoguchi interview so far but I like his attitude, increasing maturity and candid replies. I wish we had post-game audio available every game. We rarely (never) do, though we do get video interviews on Kings Live. Much appreciation for the links, ICdave.
