Got that impression too. He seems out of answers already. :dunno:

Wonder if he thinks he can win with this group. They're really soft. At some point Jarmo needs to pull the trigger and shake up the room if for no other reason than to show the fans they're trying to do something to change the toxic CBJ culture.

There is no reason for a fire sale. There are a lot of good players on this team. Improvements are needed. The nuclear option is not.

True, there are a lot of good players. This, in it's current form, is not a good team though.

I am sorry, but I think the problems go beyond one d-man to stabilize the group.

What's he gonna do, re-acquire Letestu?

Thank Ryan Murray for this loss. Weakest play ever on the GWG and lost his man on one of the early point-blank gimmes.

Other than that I thought the team deserved to win the game, played the right way in almost all facets.

Sutter skated around him like the Frosty the Snowman, but I don't think it's entirely on him. The last two goals were good plays by Vancouver, but there were some serious lapses.

I'm pretty sure he hates our defense as much as we all do, based on his comments. Talking about "giving up 3 freebies" at the end of the game. Not wanting to call guys out, but said entire defense had lapses.

This... And just when I felt I couldn't leave the game any emptier after the Winnipeg it was easily topped with tonight.

The air left the building after each and every Vancouver goal. It turned into a graveyard

The loudest cheer tonight was when section 116 won the lottery tickets

My buddy droppped me off before I could listen to him. Is there any link to this?

I'm glad he's finally losing his cool.

He didn't lose his cool. He gave the same slow, thoughtful answers he's been giving. Now what he probably said in the locker room is a different story.

Their conditioning is terrible. They are gassed in the third

I saw the Jackets heavily outskate the Canucks, including in the third. Murray got burned but that's because he's lost a step. It's not conditioning.

Soft? Toxic CBJ culture? When the team outworks and thoroughly outmuscles the other club, it's neither of those two things.

Folks have a lot of bad pet theories about what's wrong with this club.

Sad part is there were a few people in my section verbally pissed that section 116 won and just so happened to have a ton of military folks in it benefiting ... Sad times, couldn't believe my ears.

Since you were watching so closely, did you happen to see Johansen floating around as usual?

Or how about the terrible roughing call he gained shoving a guy that had already been shoved ?

Yeah, your point? I don't like Joey's game much of the time, but I don't think it's generalizable to the rest of the club. Do you think Jenner and Foligno and Hartnell and Atkinson and Calvert and all the rest of them are lazy country club floaters? Seriously?

I don't know if giving up 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd at home constitutes out skating and out muscling the other team. I saw a team pretty much shut it down after cam scored. Some guys played hard, but it usually the same ones every game.

No - I didn't say the entire team. What I will say is Johansen being what he is and doing what he's doing shouldn't fly any longer. Sets a bad tone for the rest of team when they see him doing whatever he wants taking dumb penalties. He needs to be moved now for considerable value rather than the near future when he's asking for 8-10 million to float some more.

Joey will get traded either at the deadline or in the off-season. JD did not have a very high opinion of him during the hold out and I am sure he is seeing the soft Joey that was in his mind when he exploded against him during that rant last year. Joey will bring back significant defensive help.

In my opinion, if this group is going to come around, Torts is a guy who can make that happen. I think we've already seen positive developments since he was hired.

Looking at this game, the Jackets dominated a lot of it. 22 shots in the 2nd! I think he'll be able to address the meltdowns because he seems communicative and confident. He's gotten Bob playing better, and the 4th line. They scored a goal last game, and this game looked good, as well. A lot of O-zone time. I also think the D is playing better (damning with faint praise), and I'm interested to see where he'll go with that group. His high opinion of Cotton is intriguing.

Calling the 3rd period goals "freebies" is bit of spin, since 2 were empty-netters.

I'll take that bet any day. He might not even be here at the end of this season.

I won't say he's untouchable (though to me he is), but it would take a special set of circumstances to see him moved. And I don't really see him being moved for help on the back end.

Who replaces him as 1C?
