For the second time this week, a Bruins forward found himself stapled to the bench in the third period.

Johnny Beecher played just one shift in the final period (he was on the ice for Yegor Sharangovich’s power-play goal 58 seconds in) before he was sent to Montgomery’s doghouse.

Asked about Beecher’s lack of ice time (6 minutes, 18 seconds), Montgomery deadpanned, “He played well in those six minutes.”

Montgomery benched Pastrnak for the third period of the 2-0 shutout of the Kraken last Sunday.

Tampa Bay lost in a shootout to the Flyers . 4th loss in a row. I knew they would cool down. It’s going to be Bruins - Leafs again in round 1 . Maybe this time we beat the Leafs in Toronto in 7.
It is a Loooooooooonnnnnnnngggggg season.
Marathon I would say.

They are still in the mixed sorting all kind of problems and deceiving performance. IMO, they need time, hoping they sort of the chemistry issue. I like EL with Marchand. Keep them together no matter what. That will be the foundation up front to built on this year

He played well, except for the first goal.
LU is not off to a great start in Ottawa.

Razor explained the first goal on Bru today. Very interesting. Basically a self screen where he needs to make one decision earlier. Cool to get that level of insight from an ex NHL goalie.

He'll only make that exact mistake once this year, I'd bet. He will make others. But goalie Bob seems like the perfect guy to iron out the kinks.

We’re .500 baby!
I can’t believe how close the standings are. I can’t see this changing. Fun times. More interesting this way.

He is a favorite of mine.... since I saw him in his first pre-season game.
Dude plays big has good speed and showing scoring touch. Excellent pickup. He’s been a bright spot this year.

As far as Pasta is concerned it's possible he is trying to get other players out their offensive doldrums by passing the puck instead of shooting.
I know, I know! I am just thinking outside the box, it's just a thought, that is all!
I can take the heat, if I am wrong!
Anyways I am very happy they got the win.
You should not take the heat for anything you said, the way this team is playing no question or point of view, should be dismissed that easily.

Maybe they will before the game.
Put the goalie hug in moth balls, not to be brought out until alumni games.

Korpi has played great recently but it's still a horrible trade and he is still a overpriced backup goalie with to much term. I no world it made sense to pick up his contract.

Korpisalo comes in as a goalie that has played 250+ games for the Sens, Kings and Columbus.
Crap, crap and crap... yet his numbers are decent plus was a teams #1.

4 million for a goalie with 250 games under his belt....not bad. Till 2028! Nice!. Plus we got Kastelic out of the deal who's been one of our best all around players.

I think the trade is working out fine.

What I'm waiting for is what is the upgrade in performance can we expect from Mister 8.25 in net? We were led to believe he's elite and we'd be crap without him.
So let's see how this plays out ...what 4 million gets us and what 8.25 does

Did you watch the game or just look at the stat sheet? Honest question. I've seen this type of analysis from you before. But at the end of the day he was +1!!! That's good in your world right?

Yes, I watched the game.

I don't comment on the game if I don't watch (which would be a rarity).

Bottom line, +1 is good. Does not mean Charlie played a great game. Or even a good one.

By the way, does it say on the stat sheet that McAvoy was caught way up ice on the tying goal?

We are only paying Korp 3 million on the cap.
Freddy needs to improve his game. He needs to be more than a fourth liner.
Geekie where are you?

I think Korpisalo's cap hit is only $3 mil.
