His 2 assists that led to goals were unreal and it was the highest end play he could’ve made out of those situations. That pass he tried to force to Johnson on that mini 2 on 1 was unnecessary - he was in a prime scoring / shooting position. Have to fire the puck there.

Johnny Beecher played just one shift in the final period (he was on the ice for Yegor Sharangovich’s power-play goal 58 seconds in) before he was sent to Montgomery’s doghouse.

Asked about Beecher’s lack of ice time (6 minutes, 18 seconds), Montgomery deadpanned, “He played well in those six minutes.”

Montgomery benched Pastrnak for the third period of the 2-0 shutout of the Kraken last Sunday.

Tempted to put Poitras with Marchand and Lindholm, but that's a small line. Maybe Brazeau is best for now. Big body to crash the net.

I like Koepke's game. He has good fundamental instincts around the net. I really think he has the potential to be more than a fourth-liner.

Yeah it looks like Koepke and Coyle could be a good pair along with the other 2 you mentioned.

Someone actually made a play to someone else who finished it. Pasta set up H Lidholm, Pasta setup Zacha, Coyle setup Koepke, E Lindholm setup Marchand. No broken plays, lucky bounces off someone else's butt. Good passes, on the tape, handled and deposited.

Still, goalie gives up a bad goal 20 seconds after they take a lead. Can't score on the power play. Captain takes a bad penalty; PK can't kill it. Blew 2 goal lead in third period.

Frederic moved to the 4th line, ends up -2. Koepke a +1 playing with Coyle line. May be time for Freddy to have a seat upstairs. Seems to drag down every line he plays on.

Freddy had 1 shift last night where he looked unusually slow and couldn’t handle the puck at all in our end, which led to a turnover and a high pressure push from Calgary. He didn’t even look like an east coast league player on that particular shift. It was concerning. Maybe he’s battling something.

Last night, Razor mentioned talking to Pasta about his early years and Pasta mentioned how much he loved to be a playmaker before he got addicted to scoring goals. Maybe with his recent struggles, he's trying to go back to square one and find his playmaking touch while he finds his goal scoring game again. I did notice the increased effort to be dishing the puck last night from him.

I like Marchand and Lindholm together, Lindholm is similar to Bergeron in game play and that is who Marchand played with for many a year.

Zacha and Pasta then have to be put together as the next 2 best players.

Also I found this stat that just blew my mind in how good they were.
-Boston didn't lose a seventh game in regulation in 2022-23 until Jan. 29

At the 1987 Canada Cup Gretzky told Mario Lemieux to shoot the puck (when Gretzky passed it to him in scoring position) not to pass it again or overthink it. He said your the best goal scorer so just do it. Perhaps someone needs to say this to the Bruins best shooter.

I just laughed at this because as I was reading it I though you we're going to say "unusually fast," then said "oh" when I kept reading.

Personally, I think Freddy has been gliding around the ice all over the place. I only remember one shift where he caused a turnover in the neutral zone by a back check and then got a decent chance of a shot on net. That shift was the only time I've seen him move his feet this year and what I thought you were going to talk about haha.

He's supposed to be a big physical guy that dictates play, but doesn't exactly drive offense, and I think he's at his best when he does that. This season, he has only let the play come to him and it's just been very bad. Definitely dragging down every line he's played on.

Freddy hasn't played like a physical guy for awhile now. When he first came up he was that player. Now he doesn't. It's strange.

OH ! I see give the 8 mil dollar man a break, but Coyle, Zacka, Freddy and Geekie, don't get any slack and they make a helluva lot less money than they do. Surprising how that works.

It could be worse...the Dallas Cowboys are spending 17% of cap on just ONE over-rated QB who's now on IR

..at least the B's are getting two players who are both playing
