Too many circles for Team USA and not enough guys stopping and starting. A lot of poking at the puck and not moving their feet on the defensive side of the game, lots of guys doing drive-bys. Sweden just simply looks like the way better team tonight.

This second period has been absolutely great for the swedes. Didn't think this years team had it in them. Pleasant suprise!

Kinda feels like US is underperforming though.

Robertson is the one guy that looks consistently good for the US. He seems to win every battle, and always make the smart play. Madden has been OK, too.

Bemstrom is magic. He's going to be a BIG goal scorer.

As someone who watch every game he plays in Sweden he's even surprising me, he looks more like a "player" than I thought he would. he has mostly played on the 4th line 5on5 so I guess he hasn't really gotten the chance to show his abilities besides on the powerplay where he's amazing.

One of the worst D cores I've seen for the US in quite some time.

I’m not impressed by any of them. Samberg was way better last year. Miller is nowhere near to what his prospect thread suggests.

But I’m not going to read into a couple preliminary games too much. I just know it will bite me in the ass in a week.

which resulted in nothing since the pass failed to connect. That shift was a dominant one by that Poehling-Wahlstrom line.

The U.S. started the game with no juice, no swagger, zero urgency and they are getting worked. It's a freaken clinic out there. Is Hughes that big of an impact for the team? Stupid passes, stupid moves, half-ass effort. Sweden looks like a well oiled machine out there. They know the U.S.'s every move before they even do anything.
