I don't think Laine makes much of a difference tbh, he isn't the same player as his first 3-4 years in the league. They only had him with the team for part of training camp. I say they miss Monahan much more.

Yeah, that's YOUR outlook. The players probably saw Laine's arrival as a promise of a better future. The injury nixed that.

NJD started their rebuild in 2015

Oh no! *checks notes* Fitzgerald was hired in 2020, so they're only in their 4th year of rebuild! We're so close.
depends, Shero I think tried more of a retool, After getting Hischier and getting Hall and him having his MVP season Shero thought the Devils were on the cusp of being playoff contenders and thought getting Subban was the last piece needed. It didn't work. Fitz was hired and Hughes was drafted and the real rebuild started.

The Habs and Devils rebuild started pretty similar with no stars to trade away for picks and the cupboard was bare because the previous GM.

What the hell is MSL's system anyway? The players looked confused AF out there so whatever the system currently is it isn't working.

Also MSL seems like a very stubborn person so I doubt he'll change anything since his skull seems about as thick as his legs.
Question is how does this help development

Move Slaf back to the to line and leave him there until they work it out.
Put Evans back with Gallagher and Anderson
Put Dach back with Newhook and Armia (until Laine gets there)
Then fill in the fouth line with the rest.
Stop changing the lines every night.
If someone is not working out bench them, don't f-up the other lines.

Coaches seems overwhelmed
Veterans are not showing anything
Rookies are lost
Defensively it's a mess
Our goalies can't make a key save
Our PP is so easy to read.

Allowing a goal after the 1st shot again , deflates the team completely who's already playing with 0 confidence to begin with .

Like everything is going bad . Even the 2 players we wanted to see are injured long term.
Yup, it's very concerning.

Our supposed core players worry me the most, they all look worse than last year expect CC's PP goals. The only thing they're learning is how to play like soft losers who don't know what to do or where to go on the ice, the coach is in over his head and needs to go before it's too late.

And Monty has always been a fringe NHL level goalie, nothing surprising there. His fluke run is officially over and served no purpose other than costing us a shot at Bedard. Now he'll play like his true garbage self.

« On a vue des belles choses à soir, après tout, la game a commencé à égalité. Il nous reste juste à effacer les défauts, comme des tulipes, font justes les ceuillirs, et on va en grandir, c’est ça la game »

The rebuild is going along fine , we obviously wish for them to be good every year but its nice to see them bottom out and pick top 5 again , why some fans are so afraid of tank and want us in the mix with ghule as 1D and Suzuki as 1C blows my mind
I just wanna know, when did our rebuild start and are we going to be at the same level as the Devils next year?
