MTL is most definitely drafting top 3 this year, you can count on that, so one of Hagens-Martone-Misa-Frondell-Schaefer will be MTL property at the end of the season.

So hopeful that Calgary nets us a pick between 11-14.

With the addition of Demidov-Beck-Roy next year along with this year pick, MTL could get a little bit more skills and hard working players.

Get rid this summer of Dvorak-Armia-Anderson(buyout)-Pezzetta and maybe even trade Newhook?

Caufield
Suzuki
Laine
Slafkovski
Misa
Demidov
Dach
Beck
Gallagher
Evans
Tuch or Roy
UFA- player with toughness!

Yeah

How come they are all regressing from last season (especilally the second half) ?
They worked hard to overcome the lack of talent and we lost our best center in Monahan which the team didn't recover from. Joel Armia went back to being a waiver wire candidate and Dvorak doesn't want to be in Montreal.

The rebuild is going along fine , we obviously wish for them to be good every year but its nice to see them bottom out and pick top 5 again , why some fans are so afraid of tank and want us in the mix with ghule as 1D and Suzuki as 1C blows my mind

I just don't understand all the panic...

Monahan should had surely been kept. Hughes had already won that trade with Calgary.

I think they fell asleep at the wheel while we all were giving them an easy time last couple years, keeping players longer than you have to, locker room getting to comfortable and now they gonna be scrambling all year to try to look like a half decent bottom feeding team when we all know they going straight to a bot 3 pick

What the hell is MSL's system anyway? The players looked confused AF out there so whatever the system currently is it isn't working.

Also MSL seems like a very stubborn person so I doubt he'll change anything since his skull seems about as thick as his legs.

This Devils game is gonna bring down the mix-o-meter to the very bottom :sarcasm:

It's the same system the Bolts played when they won back-to-back cups, just so we are on the same page here.

No it's not.

Concept is the same but coaching, execution of it is completely different.

Lots of little variations on it by Cooper made it viable vs. what St. Louis has instituted.

I'd argue that Pascal Vincent's version back in Laval is closer to the Tampa system than what we're implementing right now, personnel issues notwithstanding.
