I don't deny this , Price never had a great team in front of him. But I think a nhl goalie should be able to steal a game or make a key save when it's time.
Monty did steal a few to start the season. We only had two team wins, the one against the Sens and the one against Philly.

Then cook some raisin toast

Just because he can make the saves by instinct doesn’t mean he can teach someone else how to do the same thing. Note that everyone that has a Masters or PhD doesn’t decide to teach for a living.
Price was very involved in a lot of different camps during off-seasons while he was here and did involve himself in the coaching aspect of them. He will definitely be coaching when his contract runs out. I imagine somewhere closer to BC.

Devil's are at where I personally believe the Habs should have been this season. Not like their coaching is elite though...

Question is how does this help development
It likely doesn't help since not much seems to be working this year so far. I see more regression than progression but still lots of hockey left this season so we'll see how it plays out later but thus far things haven't been looking very promising at all.

depends, Shero I think tried more of a retool, After getting Hischier and getting Hall and him having his MVP season Shero thought the Devils were on the cusp of being playoff contenders and thought getting Subban was the last piece needed. It didn't work. Fitz was hired and Hughes was drafted and the real rebuild started.

The Habs and Devils rebuild started pretty similar with no stars to trade away for picks and the cupboard was bare because the previous GM.
It's just a crack at nerds around this board.

You responded to me on a post in which I said the players felt deflated because of the injury. In that scope, your own perception is inconsequential.
So what’s the fix?

The players are feeling deflated… okay someone needs to step in

The captain, the coach, the GM, etc. it can’t just be a wasted season because 1 player got hurt

It doesn’t excuse the massive regression from last year when he wasn’t even on the team

I apologize for advocating for the tank the past couple of years, some people took it the wrong way and now think you have to tank until you draft your 22 regular players before you can compete

it's on me boys

With what players would we be where New Jersey is at? They are at the very least two years ahead of us in their own rebuild.

3 more years left of the tank if you ask me

I was anti-tank last year but right now seeing how hopeless the rebuild is been I’m fully on board.

And your opinion was that they miss a player that joined the team in the offseason and never played with them unlike Monahan who was our best center on most nights. Outside of Suzuki no one is close to having the impact that SM had.

He's still under contract as a player. I would presume that he can't sign a contract as a coach until it's over.

Hughes won't replace St.Louis. If so, it will show that the coach had nothing to do with the crap we have.
