Pickard sucks. I mean, Skinner is bad but Pickard is a nothing goalie
Only the first goal. Pickard made some insane first grade saves too. You can't blame the goaltending at all tonight. This team is absolutely horseshit if Draisaitl or Or McDavid are not going 100 %. you cant count the number of times our absolutely pathetic set of forwards flubbed, missed and or straight up turned stupid with grade A scoring chances staring them in the face.

Maybe at some point we’ll learn as a team that if we’re struggling to score that more 2% east/west passes and floating pucks around to covered points isn’t the way to go.

Never seen a team that finds ways to make scoring more difficult when they’re in desperate need of goals.

Team has never had secondary scoring that was reliable. Why start now.

Huh I was kinda hoping that even if we lost we'd at least make a game of it.

Something like the Dallas loss at home last year when Gags almost got a hattrick.

This felt like a scheduled loss.

Flush. Nothing going tonight.

We seem to get goalied far to often

Next practice just set up a shooter tutor. You don’t leave the ice until you score 100 goals

I can’t get vested in this season. We look worse in basically every area of the game.

And for the love of f***ing god find a goalie that actually outplays an opposing goalie.

I honestly think it is as easy as the fact that they don't go to the tough areas enough. I know we do have a lot of shots from there from the advanced stats, but doesn't feel like it lol. Especially rebounds.

Honestly I think that's why we end up discussing the hole in the second pair and crap all over our goalies.

You don't usually see a team that is so utterly inept at scoring considering the chances they generate. We don't even know what to discuss haha.
We just say.. damn it we got goalie'd. Well for the Oilers that term this year doesn't apply to the other goalie playing great like it used to mean. It means there's a goalie in the other net.

Play the reigning Vezna candidate.. goalie'd
Play the goalie that couldn't stop a beach ball last year.. goalie'd
Play the backup... goalie'd

I'm waiting to play a team that has freak circumstances and has to play their 3rd string practice goalie... just to watch him goalie us.

Though in the end I agree with you. The Oilers forwards are in "I feel like I'm trying mode" but really aren't. They don't have the drive or the will yet to get to the tough areas to score.

And yet Pickard, the below average backup, has better numbers on the year than Skinner.

People here were hyping up Skinner as a starter for team Canada. 😂
Probably the same people who were saying he was going to command an $8 million deal.

The PK is the most critical issue with the team right now, with inconsistent goaltending and offense nearby. Stuart’s seat should be feeling a little warm. He has the personnel

Not quite the same at all. We were 2 and 9 after 11 games last year. It's an 82 game schedule. Relax everyone. Some of you I swear are new to hockey
Buddy, last year this team had an insane set of young forwards and defenseman who could skate like the wind to look forward too... we had nothing to lose. They just all let loose by February. This years team has no hope of ever being that dynamic or skilled. You seem to be new at hockey if you think the situations are similar at all.

They don't even have to outplay the other guy. Shit, I'm just looking for the chance of their save percentage starting with a 9 being better than a coin flip...
