I blame Skinner. He's so ass we had to give him the easy game last night and it threw the boys off. Can't blame the effort, but we again have no ability to score from distance and aren't a threat unless it's a perfect passing tap-in. No ability to get to the middle and finish

That might go into the hall of fame as world's worst take.

I can’t get vested in this season. We look worse in basically every area of the game.

And for the love of f***ing god find a goalie that actually outplays an opposing goalie.
It is hard to get invested, I turned this sucker off after 2. I watched the full game last night. First time I sat and watched an entire game.

i can't get excited until we get a goalie and upgrade a dman TBH. I don't care if we start scoring 5 a game. Do not trust them at all.

I’ve watched about 60 percent “full” games.

Tough to get vested with what we are seeing on the ice. A lot of nothing happening on the ice most nights

Just hoping McDavid comes back angry (he hates not playing) and we tread water for the first 20 games before we finally remember how to play hockey. Our shooting percentage will improve to the mean.

Just sucks we’ve had two years I row where we look disinterested most nights. Someone played with an ouija board or something. I’m guessing it was bouch. He has a naive look to his face. ;)

Buddy, last year this team had an insane set of young forwards and defenseman who could skate like the wind to look forward too... we had nothing to lose. They just all let loose by February. This years team has no hope of ever being that dynamic or skilled. You seem to be new at hockey if you think the situations are similar at all.

Skill level is the same.

Oilers have had mediocre starts now in 4/5 seasons. They were terrible last year to start, couldn't defend anything.

Just is what it is. Last time they had a good start to a season Dave Tippet was coach and they followed that up with an epic collapse in December/Jan to get him fired, lol.

They are just the dictionary definition of slow starters.

The funny thing is the Oilers have 3 forwards who have made their living doing that across their career - Perry, Hyman, and Arvidsson.
Arvidsson and Perry are rubbing off on Hyman. Neither drive the net anymore due to age or past injuries, just sort of floating in the perimeter. Arvidsson, just ticks me off. WTF is he doing trying to be finesse ? he was never a finesse player in his career, all of a sudden he's trying to tic tac toe with Draisaitl, taking weak fairy shots from the top of the slot into the goalies chest.
