First game back from a road trip usually means a poor effort. Hopefully they break that trend.

2 games in a row without having to listen to Louie and Jack tells BS stories for most of the game. :thumbu:

As long as we can stay within a couple games of .500 I think you let Connor take as long as he possibly needs to recover - last year I think they panic rushed him back for the outdoor game because they were playing so poorly and it took him ages to really get back up to speed. Not sure he ever really did tbh

I don’t think so. Amazon bought the Monday night rights from SN. The future I think will be a mishmash of various legacy cable, regional network and online streaming services as the NHL will have a special “night” every day of the week to maximize revenue over various outlets.
So like it was in the 90s and early 2000s

We'll be paying $120/month in the future to watch all Oiler games spread over amazon, netflix, disney, paramount and crave.

Draisaitl says we go 2-0.

I'm basically there already unfortunately.

Have Sportsnet+ Premium to watch out of market games, but still have cable despite a cord cutting attempt. The SN streams are ~30 seconds behind cable, so I was tired of getting hit with text messages from people anytime anything happened before I saw it. Also had one big game where buffering was randomly an issue, so that was enough for me.

Basically paying a cable tax because the streams aren't quite there yet.

He apparently took the optional skate today.

Mcdavid better not return early. He’s still hurt from last year. He needs to put team success ahead of his own and sit and heal. For two years now he hasn’t been the McDavid we all know and love.

Luckily my work has a deal with Telus for $33/month for amazon, crave, netflix and disney. I tried to be cheap and have them add xbox gamepass to the bundle but they wouldn't.

Is he not as reckless with his speed as when he was younger, sure but that’s a good thing.

He willed his team to a game 7 last year of the cup, and people expect more, they will get more but expectations are right out of control for this player.
He’s not injured, he can only do so much.

I love Prime for the extra perks. My gf uses the free shipping a lot but I use the other perks like free weekly games, prime video and books, plus there's other perks I never use. Easily worth the $11/month.
You can also store all your photos online as a cloud back up.

I’m talking about him not shooting Addison his passes and firing it into draisaitls feet on PP or trying to make a fancy play when he himself has a grade A scoring chance.

I don’t recall being able to watch every game back then and having to pay for a million various streaming services. It was one cable bill that’s it.
You had Roger’s sport net, cbc, and pay per view. Some games were even on ctv and rds

I’ve been watching all oiler games since the early 2000s. They been available on different channels and services. It’s easier to watch them all now but back then you needed different cable packages that includes channels you never watched to get one that had a game

Yes I know all that and have been watching all the games as well but it was always 1 cable bill. That is my point.
When NHL Network came out and NHL Center Ice I watched every single game from various teams both in the USA and Canada.

My point is now in addition to the 1 cable bill from 1 provider you have to subscribe to streaming services which all add up and many people will not be able to afford them all.

It’s a dumb point though because it may have been one cable bill but that bill had different packages you needed to buy. So at the end of the day you still paying for different stuff you didn’t want to get something you did.

You can get all the streaming services in one bill today too. Telus offers packages with your cellphone they bundles streaming services.
