I guess this is meltdown day. 4 home games played out of 13 (will be 15 before we play another home game) and the season is over.

Get real.

Cant play offense if you cant leave the zone. Once the kings start spending less time in their own zone the scoring will come. So i blame the lack of scoring in missing Mitchell and Greene

Hey everyone, a CBJ fan here. I was wondering is Quick struggling this year or is he simply seeing significantly better shots due to you defensive defensemen (Mitchell and Greene?) being out?

Almost every Stanley Cup winning team is one and done. There is too much parity in the league, especially since the cap came into things. The Hawks look amazing right now, just like they did in 2010 when they won the whole thing, but they struggled in the playoffs the year after they won. Same goes for Boston.

The Hawks were completely uprooted after their cup win, we shouldn't be playing this bad having the same exact team

So we shouldn't expect them to put on any effort when they're away from home? They've proven nothing this season. Actually, they've proven how wildly inconsistent they can be.

The Kings are playing from behind and are being outshot 11-4 in the 2nd. That's a big concern.

As long as the kings ice an AHL defense, they are done.

Drewiske and Muzzin are not every day NHL defensemen. Keaton has some ability, but isn't there yet.

Kings passes out of their zone are terrible. No way the kings can generate offense when they are constantly reaching behind for passes.

It's not the Same team as last year.

How many times does this have to be said.

Do you See A-Mart- Greene- Mitchell in their ?

The Kings are a below 500. Team without Mitchell.

Think about that.

Johnny B might be a better Goalie for right now. Cause Quick is all over the place.

Johnny B is a more stationary goalie, more calm in net.

Of course it's concerning, but there's no reason to jump off a bridge just yet. Right now they are a losing team, but how often have they played like this? The only times all season the defense has been an issue like this have been against this team and Anaheim.

I don't see what's surprising about getting our ***** kicked by a team that already kicked our ass. They are a bad matchup for the Kings and I don't think the Kings would have beaten them in last season's playoffs just as they wouldn't this season.

Even Pitt couldn't repeat with Crosby & Malkin. That should tell you something...

Think about that.

Mitchell is a soon to be 36 year old with a bad knee and a history of concussions. If our team relies so heavily on Mitchell, the odds are that we are screwed

He's resting now. There is no reason for any announcement to be made if doctor's can't agree on what is wrong with his knee.

I can tell you there's no ambiguity with regards to the physicians diagnosis. The smoke screen is purely a construct of the kings front office
